  1. Ken Dryden said this so well in his classic book "The Game." He said then that the Habs were at a crossroads, to win, or stay French Canadian. This is not me talking - this is Dryden talking.
  2. Here's wishing nothing but the very best for Johathan Drouin on his comeback. It may be bumpy along the way, but best wishes anyway.
  3. Sounds like it will come down to Poehling being a wild card in all of this, based on how he produces. To be honest with everyone, I really don't know that much about him, other than he has been doing well in the minor leagues. I would like to know a little more about him.
  4. I don't know why, but I see Kotkaniemi becoming like Alex Galchenyuk. Bouncing around the NHL, with just enough talent to show flashes of unrealized potential.
  5. I love this move. They got rid of a player who did not want to be there, and got a better player. Sure, Dvorak is currently a 3rd line center, but is capable of moving up to a 2. Now I would like to see us shore up our defense just a bit more.
  6. Kinot-2: my niece played women's college hockey and did very well. She finished up her collegiate career at the University of Maine. She played women's pro hockey for a while.
  7. The whole thing could have been avoided if MB had followed the kid's request and not drafted him. But the biggest concern I have is why did they waste a first-round pick on him? There's a good chance he never gets to play for the Habs (buried in the minors, or continues his actions). It would have been a wasted opportunity for the Habs. While we are on the subject of the draft, the positioning of the Canadiens as the second-to-last pick makes me wonder if we should actually traded the pick and go down to the second round where we could acquire more depth. We were not going to get a superstar player anyway, even though there was not any major potential stars in this draft anyway. And there was no way we would move up unless we traded a bunch of players or picks. But then again, MB should have stayed away from this one.
  8. No team will ever have the success that Las Vegas had as a first-year expansion team. Nobody will ever get to the Stanley Cup finals in their first year again, at least not in my lifetime. They were the one who caught lightning in a bottle.

  10. I thought about him, too. I even considered Henri Richard, but Caufield is more of a scorer and Henri was more of a playmaker.
  11. I have been thinking about what player Caufield reminds me of. As of now, and this will probably change as he gets even better, he reminds me of Theo Fleury, the ex-Calgary player.
  12. I got to watch the game, and the more Caulfield plays, the better he gets. Looks like the Habs found a keeper.
  13. I'm sorry I haven't posted here in a while concerning the recent games with Las Vegas. I can assure you that I have been watching them. The Habs are proving they can play with anyone. It's nice to see the Habs play well. But one thing disturbed me in the last game - they were waiting for Vegas to come to them for most of the game. When they fell behind, they got a sense of urgency and came back and won. I think they need to do better at this throughout the entire game.
  14. I did get to see the game Monday Night, and it appears that Las Vegas is at a higher level than Toronto and Winnipeg. The Canadiens have some serious work to do to cut out the penalties that I think cost them more than anything. I also thought they struggled defensively in front of Price.
  15. It may be the only way they can get the puck out of their own end consistently.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets pull their goalie within the next minute.
  17. Looks like Dave Hester has some fans on here.
  18. The guys on TSN Radio are trying to predict when Caulfield will get his first playoff goal. When do we think Caulfield will score goal !? Let's have some fun with this!
  19. Wow. Looks like we need to assert ourselves physically. And with the Jets having all kinds of trouble getting the puck out of their end, now is the time for it.
