  1. Melbourne, Australia - How bad does this man want his cat back from the animal shelter? He put on full combat gear and armed himself with a fake assault weapon. He then stormed in and tied up the clerk and asked her about the whereabouts of the cat. For some reason, he left without the cat and returned the next day and this time, they were ready and the cops were called. The suspect was charged with false imprisonment, aggravated burglary, criminal damage, perjury, common law assault, and carrying an imitation weapon. No word on the status of the kitty.
  2. NHL.com. Las Vegas has signed defenseman Zach Whitecloud to a six year $15 million contract.
  3. Tampa Bay, Florida - A 20 year old woman gets into an argument with her mother over house cleanliness. The argument escalated with the daughter hurling two tacos from the dining room. The mother called the cops and the officer found the daughter with food debris all over and her shirt.
  4. NHL.com. Arizona goaltender will miss 2 - 4 weeks and defenseman Conor Timmins will miss 8 - 12 weeks with lower body injuries. Ryan Dzingel was also injured and there is no word yet. Coyotes have recalled goaltender Ivan Prosvetov, forward Barrett Hayton, and defenseman Cam Dineen from Tucson of the AHL.
  5. NHL.com. St. Louis has put Brandon Saad and Ryan O'Reilly on the Covid-19 list. O'Reilly will miss four games and cannot return until at least November 7. Saad will miss at least two games.
  6. NHL.com. Philadelphia forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been fined $2687.50 for kneeing Florida forward Mason Marchment at 3:48 of the third period. Aube-Kubel was assessed a two minute minor for tripping.
  7. NHL.com. Anaheim forward Ryan Gretzlaf has been fined $1000 for a dangerous trip against Minnesota forward Joel Eriksson Ek at 1:33 overtime in their game.
  8. India - A burglar breaks into a house and finds $400 and jewels. He complained about the lack of anything to take to the point he left behind a note saying why is your house locked when there so little to take.
  9. NHL.com. Anaheim forward Max Jones will miss 4 - 6 months with a torn pectoral muscle. He will have surgery Wednesday.
  10. Trump is now starting a social media site to be called Truth Social. There's a misnomer. His site has already been infiltrated with phony accounts.
  11. Grand Traverse County, Michigan - A 43 year old man breaks into a home where he was confronted by the homeowner who screamed when she realized it wasn't her husband. He then came down the stairs and told the intruder to leave. Police then got complaints of the break-in and found the intruder who fled into the woods when they tried to speak to him. A search by K-9 police turned up nothing and then the crook called 9-1-1 to say he was lost. Dispatch gave troopers the last known coordinates of the suspect and when they arrived, he flagged them down and he was taken into custody.
  12. Cayakka, Turkey - A man in town for a construction project goes out drinking with his coworkers. Next morning, his coworkers couldn't find him and became concerned he may have wandered off into the woods. They organize a search party and the missing man who was sleeping it off in a villa noticed the activity and joined the search party. It was after hearing his named called that he realized he was the man they were looking for.
  13. Madison County, Florida - A man tries to rob a Waffle House by using his fingers in the shape of a gun. He told patrons to get on the ground, they were being robbed. He then said he was high and drunk and left with only napkins. Police located him at his residence and arrested him without incident after admitting to the crime. He has been charged with unarmed robbery and assault.
