I go away for one day, and look what happens.

      I love this place.

  3. Nah, George Martin. He was their producer.
  4. Between those two, I'd say the Beatles. But I'd put more emphasis on George Martin than the band itself. Free response, I'd say Martin Hannett.
  5. How's everyone's day going?

  7. True! The poster below me has made a cake from scratch.
  8. Liriano threw a walk-filled no-hitter in Chcago for the Twins.
  9. The NL is pretty terrible.
  10. Hopefully you don't mind a first time visitor to this thread, even if you don't like the song choice so much? (I've been meaning to stop by here for months, but school always seemed to get in the way)
  11. Anyone else ever get the urge to get a really obscure Habs sweater, like a Tomas Vokun, or Lindsay Vallis? :P

  13. Yankees won . But at least the Nationals lost!
  14. To me, no matter what he does, no matter if he tries to improve his image or never plays dirty again (but if he did that he would never play in the NHL again, it's all he does), he's still done enough to warrant expulsion. He's ruined enough seasons and careers completely and 100% intentionally for my tastes. I don't like watching games he plays in, because you never know what disgusting move he's going to pull. The NHL won't have properly handled this until he's gone for good, like Marc Savard probably is.
  15. This is a nice thread. Oingo Boingo, Happy Mondays, and New Order. I could listen to only their stuff for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. Albuquerque.
  16. 86-87, Oilers. But, at least the Flyers lost!
  17. If Cherry had any credibility left, it's gone now. Ridiculous. The chorus of voices rushing to the defense of the indefensible has been a bit surprising, but I was legitimately not sure which direction Grapes would go on this. He has in the past seemed to care a little bit about safety, but I guess that was bluster. I'd say shame on you, Don, but you obviously know none. Maybe they should learn English, huh? Ah, irony.
  18. There's an awful lot of dubious stuff that comes out of the Toronto media syndicate, so I don't really know. I'm not so sure I believe it 100%, but I think it's not unlikely. I think he potentially may be done for a while, maybe into next season or beyond. But I sincerely hope not. He's a great player and a good guy. What a shame it would be to see such a talented player quit the game he loves because the supposedly professional league he plays in continually refuses to protect its players, superstar talent level or not, from cheapshot artists and goons that can barely skate.
  19. Hey, the more info the better I say! I think he'll be a valuable addition to our crew. Don't know who I'd pair him with, but I like what he can do, particularly with his physicality. Welcome, Brent!
  20. Atlanta's been using him right around the 17-18 minute mark on average, as per this: http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8462176&season=20102011&view=gamelog
  21. Probably better than calling up half of Hamilton's D, I guess. It was just a fifther, after all.
