  1. Thanks for the comments everyone! Can't wait for game time, it's been a quiet week. Everyone should be well rested.
  2. Game #27 Senators @ Canadiens Mar 13th, 2013 @ 7pm EST RDS, TSN The Montreal Canadiens hope to continue the success achieved on their season-high road trip with a brief appearance at home. Seeking a fourth straight victory before heading back out on the road, the Canadiens look to extend their recent home dominance over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night. Playing five games in eight days, Montreal (17-5-4) totaled 20 goals and went 4-1-0 on its trip that included victories over Boston and Carolina. "This team has obviously developed some very good character," coach Michel Therrien told the Canadiens' official website. "We're a group that plays with a lot of responsibility and I really like what I'm seeing from our guys." Michael Ryder scored two power-play goals and had an assist while P.K. Subban added three assists in a 5-2 win over Florida on Sunday. "Hopefully we can keep this going when we get back," Ryder said. "This trip was good for the team and I think we did a lot of good things. Now that we're heading home it's important to make sure we keep playing the same way." After Wednesday, Montreal heads to New Jersey to begin a stretch of four of six on the road. Though the Canadiens have dropped two of three at the Bell Centre, they've earned at least a point in five straight there. While Montreal has lost two of three to Ottawa (13-8-5) this season, the Canadiens won 2-1 on Feb. 3 to run their home winning streak in the series to three. They've gone 4-0-1 in their last five on home ice versus the Senators heading into the final meeting of 2013. This will be the first time Montreal faces Ottawa with Ryder, who has two goals and seven assists in seven games since being acquired from Dallas last month. Five of his points came on a Montreal power play that went 6 for 25 (24.0 percent) on the trip. "They brought me in to help offensively and on the power play," Ryder said. "That's what I want to try to do and try to help the team. I'm feeling a lot more comfortable on the ice now.'' Ryder, however, has been held without a point in 11 straight games against the Senators. Subban, who has three goals and nine assists in 10 games, has one goal with five assists in his last seven versus Ottawa. Montreal's Carey Price has a 1.36 goals-against average while winning four of five at home against the Senators. Ottawa blew a 2-0 lead en route to a 3-2 shootout loss at Boston on Monday. Though the Senators have dropped five of six, they're 4-2-3 during a stretch of nine straight games decided by one goal. "We did a lot of things right playing against (Boston) for as long as we did and we had an opportunity to win," coach Paul MacLean said. "I thought our team competed from start to finish and were very deserving of a point if not more." Robin Lehner and Ben Bishop continue to see time in place of top goaltender Craig Anderson, who is expected to miss his ninth straight game with a sprained ankle. Bishop has allowed seven goals while losing two starts since recording a career-high 44 saves in a 2-1 shootout victory over Montreal on Feb. 25. There have been some improvements in regards to Rene Bourque and Raphael Diaz, who are both out with concussions. Bourque began skating last week and Diaz has started working out in the gym. There is still no timeline for their return, as both players are following the team's protocol for concussions. Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk were officially welcomed to the NHL after taking part in the age-old tradition of the team's rookie party Sunday night in Florida. The purpose of the party is for the team to order as much as they can and have the rookies pick up the bill. These parties have been known to cost players a pretty penny. Galchenyuk and Gallagher would not reveal how much the night cost. Pateryn and Gabriel Dumont weren't forced to take out their wallets at the end of the night, as they had been recently called up and aren't permanently on the team. Gallagher remembers his rookie party in junior when he was forced to buy the whole team popcorn at the movies, which also added up to a lot of money. (WCH's Record:3-0-1) (Go Habs Go!)
  3. Can a mod please replace the last image (the player stats) with this one, http://s18.postimage.org/gx1zuou3d/player_stats_mar7.jpg The current one is missing a quite a few players.

  6. Game #24 Canadiens @ Hurricanes Mar 7th, 2013 @ 7pm EST RDS, TSN-HABS While the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens finished at the bottom of their respective divisions last season, both find themselves in first with the midway point approaching. The Southeast-leading Hurricanes look to win five straight for the first time in three years Thursday night as they host the Canadiens, who try to bounce back from their first regulation loss in almost a month. Though Carolina (13-8-1) suffered a big blow when Cam Ward sprained his MCL during Sunday's 3-2 win at Florida, Justin Peters - in his season debut - stepped up to make 37 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Buffalo. Peters, recalled from Charlotte a day earlier, could play a key role going forward as the backup to Dan Ellis with Ward expected to miss six to eight weeks. "Every day in the NHL is awesome," said Peters, who was 22-12-1 with a 2.29 goals-against average and two shutouts in the AHL. "You watch Cam Ward play and he's so calm and cool back there, I just try and learn from guys like him watching them on TV. His demeanor back there really feeds a lot to the bench." Alexander Semin had a goal and two assists Tuesday while captain Eric Staal had a season-high three assists for the Hurricanes, who haven't won five in a row since a seven-game run Feb. 5-March 4, 2010. Staal leads the team with 28 points, nine of which have come during the current four-game win streak. Carolina is 13-3-1 when Staal records at least one point compared to 0-5-0 when he doesn't. He has eight goals and eight assists in 10 home games. "Eric's made a huge commitment to playing the game the right way without the puck," coach Kirk Muller told the team's official website. "I think he has a lot of pride in that. He's gone from a bit of an offensive guy to a two-way centerman. It's been a big part of our group having success." Staal, though, is pointless in four of his last five matchups with Montreal (14-5-4), including a 3-0 road loss Feb. 18 as the Hurricanes had a season-low 19 shots. The Eastern Conference-leading Canadiens had strung together an 8-0-3 run before a 6-3 road loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday. Michael Ryder tallied a career high-tying three assists for the second time in five games, but Carey Price stopped just 18 of 23 shots. "We can't win them all, and we just went 11 games without losing in regulation," coach Michel Therrien told the team's official website. "The guys played with intensity, they worked hard, the results just didn't work out for us." It was the first regulation defeat since Feb. 9 and just the second on the road all season for the Canadiens, who led 1-0 after 20 minutes but allowed three goals in each of the last two periods. "We tried to put the puck on the net as much as we could, but we didn't always get the bounces and that just happens sometimes," said Tomas Plekanec, who scored for a second straight game and has a team-high 10 goals. "It's never a good feeling when you lose a game, whether it's at the end of a streak or not. A loss is a loss." Plekanec has 13 points in the last nine meetings with Carolina as the Canadiens have gone 6-2-1. Price has seen his GAA rise to 2.35 after allowing 12 goals over two starts this month. Despite Tuesday's effort, Price is 5-1-1 with a 1.81 GAA over seven road contests. (WCH's GDT Record: 2-0-1) (Go Habs Go!)

  11. Definatly funnier than anything I've copy and pasted lol! GJ UCE!
  12. It doesn't give me an error message, it just reloads the page without logging me in. I've tried a number of times today and I thought it had signed me in from the IP board view of the forum but then I went to a topic and I wasnt signed in. Oh internet..
  13. Thanks GHC! Tried deleting my cache and cookies and all that on my phone and laptop but still have log in issues.
  14. The new one is called IPB Community or Communities I'm pretty sure. Hope that helps.
  15. I was curious so I went on my iPod and downloaded ipb buddy and it works fine but says its discontinued, please download the new version and has a link to the app store but its not available in Canada right now. There was a forum in the UK that mentioned that the new version is a paid app... Idc I just want the mobile view on my browser Just changed to the IP board theme or whatever and it seems a bit faster then the normal one I've been using. Its workable at least.
  16. this is what it looks like except most avatars are working now
  17. I looked around on google and the mobile app (for idevices) has been discontinued but the mobile view of the forum is still supported, please have a look GHC! It's unreadable as is and the full website (like you would see on a desktop or laptop computer) takes ages to load on my mobile browser. Also, i cannot log into the forums directly on my phone (using either mobile view or full version) OR my computer! I can however log into my account from the habs main website and then if im on my laptop, click the "fan forum" link under "fan zone" and be logged in on the forums. If im on my phone though, i can't just hover over "fan zone" so i have to click on it and it takes me to a page of links with a link to what im assuming is the old web address for the main page of the forums which doesnt work anymore. after a while i figured out that if i log in and then type in the web address on my phone it brings me to the forum and keeps me logged in (thank god!). SO, 5 hours later ive finally figured out how to log in again... please yell at someone GHC! lol
  18. Like this?? This is what my mobile version looks like and the full version when viewed on my phone doesn't look much better.
  19. What happened to the mobile forum? :s I can't read anything.
  20. Thanks everyone! My friends brought over a cake for me last night (and a wide variety of liquor) and idk if i can eat it!
  21. Thanks for the comments everyone! Only four and a half hours until the game GO HABS GO!
  22. Game #18 | Rangers @ Canadiens | February 23th, 2013 | 7:00pm EST The Montreal Canadiens have surged to the top of the Northeast Division with some of their best hockey of the season, though they're coming off a rare disappointing effort. They also played far from their best earlier this week, but still earned a win over the New York Rangers. Montreal looks to get back on track with a seventh straight home victory over the Rangers on Saturday night. The Canadiens (11-4-2) had their season-high five-game winning streak snapped Thursday, though they managed to pick up a point in a 4-3 overtime home loss to the Islanders. Montreal led 2-0 after one period and 3-2 going into the third, but seemed to fade in the final 20 minutes of regulation when they were outshot 8-4. "We got completely away from our game plan," said forward Max Pacioretty, who scored twice and has four goals in a three-game streak. "They saw an opportunity and they walked all over us. It's embarrassing to be up like that and get away from our game plan so much." The Canadiens hadn't allowed a power-play goal in four games but gave up two in four chances, allowing the Islanders to rally. Montreal has been short-handed 78 times, among the most in the league. "I don't think it's so much discipline as much as not killing the penalties that hurts us," goaltender Carey Price said. "We have to figure out a way to bail our guys out (when they take penalties). They scored two power-play goals; that's a momentum changer." Pacioretty provided just that Tuesday at Madison Square Garden when he scored late in the second period to erase the Rangers' 1-0 lead. Montreal went on to get two more goals in the third for a sluggish 3-1 victory, which was the Canadiens' second game of a back-to-back and third in four nights. That was Montreal's third win in four overall matchups, and the Canadiens have been even more dominant in recent home meetings with New York. Montreal has outscored the Rangers 19-3 in the past five wins at the Bell Centre and gone 8-0-1 in the last nine games in the series there. New York (8-6-2) continued to struggle with inconsistency in its last contest Thursday, falling 3-2 in a shootout at Ottawa after taking a 2-1 lead late in the third period. The Rangers have dropped two in a row and three of four, though they're 4-1-2 in the past seven. The Rangers were without star forward Rick Nash, who will miss his third straight game with an undisclosed injury. "I'm glad we got a point. .... Our full lineup (still isn't) playing so we've got to keep grinding away until we get people playing and try to grab points when we can," coach John Tortorella said. The Rangers gave up a power-play goal for the first time in 18 chances and six games, and also allowed their first short-handed goal of the season. "You've got to be happy with our third (period) and the way we came back and way we responded, and that's what we have to take into Montreal," said captain Ryan Callahan, who scored on the power play and in the shootout. (My GDT Record: 1-0-1)
  23. Aww you guys are so ahead of me!! Not coming back til after tthe period haha.
