I don't know where to go at the Bell Centre, but the old Montreal Forum you could wait out in the back, players would come outside to go to the parking lot behind the Forum and the Visiting players would also always enter from the same door in the back .

Dont think so. Just try to score some seats near the opposing teams backup goalie. Thats what I did when I flew to Pittsburgh to see a game and I got Huets autograph.

The backside of the Bell Centre is on rue St. Antoine West. There is an underground garage incorportated within the Bell Centre and the garage doors are off of rue St. Antoine West and this is where both home and visiting team players enter or leave the Bell Centre, it is through the twin garage doors. However, when I was there in March 2006, only one door was being used even though both were open.

For the day of the game, the Habs generally practice early and depart the Bell Centre around 10-11 am. However, the Habs players depart via their vehicles, mostly SUVs and will stop to autograph items. About an hour later, the visiting team players exit and are walking since their hotel is within a couple of blocks of the Bell Centre.

I was with an 18 year old Habs fan from Chicago and he got most of the player's autographs at that time. Since there are other persons there at the same time with the same goal, you may have to be somewhat agressive. If you are from out-of-town, tell each player that when requesting an autograph and they may be more willing to sign since you have a limited opportunity as opposed to a local Montréal person. However, you might be disappointed, cause I looked at the page of the Habs players autographs and couldn't read any of them to be able to recognize who had written their name.

Relative to before the game, you would probably have to be at the same location about two & one half hours before game time to get some autographs. I don't know if a player will stop at that time since he may be blocking others wanting to get into the same garage. After the game may be the most difficult time, dependent upon the situation. Are the Habs on a home stand, if so, they will be leaving via their vehicles. If they are leaving for an out of town game to be played the next night, I would think that the bus that carries them to the airport would be inside the garage and I don't think you can get into the garage as someone will stop you.

Also realize that there will be many more persons outside the exit after a game so your chances of getting an autograph would be severly limited.

If you live in Montréal, Habs players make personal appearances and are in attendance at specific events throughout the season that may be available to you. You can try calling the Bell Centre and asking. Tel. 514-932-2582

Hope this helps.

I noticed that your city/state is listed as Sterling, VA. That would mean you would most likely attend games when the Habs pay a visit to play the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center.

If that is true, you might attempt to obtain the Habs players autographs when they visit.

For the 2003-2004 season, the Habs stayed at the Renaissance Mayflower in Washington, DC. Please remember that was when they played the Caps at the MCI Center. I don't know where they are staying now when they visit.

yeah they just changed the name to Verizon Center from MCI Center b/c Verizon bought out MCI. Yeah would you say its difficult to get an autograph at the Bell Centre based on experience. I have the opportunity to go up there and see a game up there so i was just wondering

If you go to the Bell Centre in the morning prior to or after their morning skate, the day of a game, I would say it isn't wouldn't be that difficul to get autographs.

You could go early in the morning when they are arriving and then, while they are skating, go to breakfast nearby and then return to catch those you missed when they leave after their morning skate.

Early in the morning would be defined as 8 AM, I would think?

I don't know how willing the players would be to be signing autographs at 8 AM in the morning :D

No i'm from MTL (best city in the universe)but in like a month i'm making a pseudo-permanent move to Boca Raton, Florida since i got a scolarship to some stupid prep school. But i've been here a lot since i have a home here and my grandpa has season tix to the Panthers so i got to go a lot and yeah it's pretty much the easiest thing in the universe...and the players here love the attention. not to mention the habs when there here are SOOO much friendlier than back at home since you're like the only fan in comparison to 4905890482 batrillion fans.
