No we are 7.8 points out of the team #8, if habs will lose 60% of their games (40% win) and everyone else will win 75% of their games.

And because it is very unlikely scenario, and the reality WILL be better, the habs are in when this number hits 0. Even if later on it will go again above 0 for a while.

Thanks Choc... very easy to understand now (88.2 + 7.8 = 96 = 8th place)... much appreciated and an excellent analysis stat presentation on this new thingy. The Habs are currently sitting with a 59.5 winning % according to the NHL.com Stats Machine :)

When the MN habs400 hits 0 or Montreal climbs to the spot #8 in the Habs 400/750 standing, habs are in accordingly to habs 400 rule.

At the moment we are closing fast on Toronto in the habs400 Standings. For instance, if Montreal wins this Saturday and Toronto loses, Montreal will overpass Toronto there, meaning Toronto will finish the season below Montreal accordingly to habs400 rule. The will happen if Montreal wins both next games, independently on how Toronto plays.

This will also happen if Montreal wins two next games, independently on how Toronto plays.

damn i cant believe the lack of bonuses of late

This is because the team #9 in NL Standings (which happen to be Rangers) is separated by NL points from the rest. They are 4 NL points behind team #8 (Boston) and 2 NL points above team #10 (NYI). I am talking here about NL points, i.e. the value from HLD/s table multiplied by 2. Therefore the bonus productions depends solely on NYR losing points and they don't play a lot recently. When they start play more often (which eventually will happen starting this Saturday), the bonus production will return to its normal pace. If NYR suddenly start to win everything, hey will catch up the team #8 and the bonus production accelerates, cause more "workers" will be working on them.

When the MN habs400 hits 0 or Montreal climbs to the spot #8 in the Habs 400/750 Standings, habs are in accordingly to habs 400 rule.

For the first time Habs moved up in the Habs 400/750 Standings. They are now at the spot #13 above Toronto and Tampa Bay. It means, habs will finish the season above them!

Teams doomed to be below habs by Habs400 rule:

1. Toronto

2. Tampa Bay

BTW accordingly to habs400/750 Montreal will finish the season with no less than 90 points, even if the disaster strikes and they will win just 40% of their remaining games. It is very close to the last season playoffs passage - 92 points. Even more, the top Standings (Point/NL Pace Standings) estimate, that this season 91 points would suffice.
