When the MN habs400 hits 0 or Montreal climbs to the spot #8 in the Habs 400/750 Standings, habs are in accordingly to habs 400 rule.

Montreal moved 1 spot up again and is now 4 spots away from the garantied playoff spot in the Habs 400/750 Standings. 4 (not 3) more to go, because all SE division teams are in the bottom 8 here and one of them is garantied to be #3. Therefore the last team presently in the playoff space is the team #7 (Philadelphia), instead of the team #8 (carolina).

Teams doomed to finish below habs by Habs400 rule:

1. Toronto

2. Tampa Bay

3. Florida

4. Atlanta

BTW accordingly to habs400/750 Montreal will finish the season with no less than 91 points, even if the disaster strikes and they will win just 40% of their remaining games. It is very close to the last season playoffs passage - 92 points. Even more, the top Standings (Point/NL Pace Standings) projects, that this season 90 points would suffice.

Woops see above for the stats

TML 750

TML.gif

They are moving away from eighth, but still only 3 losses away!

Here's hoping for a few more losses....I don;t know with Sundin's example the team seems regenerated. 7-3-0 in their last 10.

But I suppose this is good news. I'd rather they go out in 9th :D (I know HTL would disagree and like to see them in last , but this way they get teased...more heartbreak for the Leafs fans)

Your wrong there Dags. I'm on record as saying i want them to be the first team eliminated and THEN make a charge for 9th. The best of both worlds IMO. :D

It still pains me to see the Laffs .9 behind us... I thought they'd be way gone by now.

I have fixed the habs400 Standings in regard of team #1 in SE Division. It is now goes to the spot#3 in Standings as it should.

Montreal is now 3 spots away from the garantied playoff spot in the Habs 400/750 Standings.

I did not see this until today, have been busy the last couple of weeks. I am honoured and grateful that you kept up the Habs 400 analysis. Brilliant work. Only 3.9 to go!
