Seattle 2 Detroit 1.  Miscommunication on a fly ball in the sixth inning and another failure by Francisco Rodriguez give Seattle the win.  Tyler Collins collided with right fielder Jim Aducci jarring the ball loose and allowing Nelson Cruz to reach second and scored on a single.  Kyle Seager sat on a 2-2 change up for a double and scored on a single.  Other than the sixth inning, Detroit had trouble getting anyone on base.  Seattle first baseman Taylor Motter leaned over the railing to snag a foul pop fly to end the game.

Chicago White Sox 7 Detroit 3.  Longballs on fastballs over the plate, defensive mistakes by Detroit in the eighth, and a missed chance in the first give Chicago the win.  Nick Castellanos booted two potential double play grounders to help load the bases and after a home to first twin killing,  After an intentional walk, Alex Wilson left a slider over the plate to Geovany Soto who lined it for a two run single.  Detroit also hit into an inning ending bases loaded doubleplay in the first inning after two runs had scored.  Daniel Norris gave up the first two and Joe Jimenez the other in the ninth.

Cleveland 3 Detroit 2.  Defense and relief pitching by Cleveland is the difference.  Miguel Cabrera was thrown out at third trying to advance on a ground ball to shortstop in the fourth inning.  Brandon Guyer took away an extra base hit in the eighth with a leaping grab at the wall.  Cleveland got all three runs in the fourth on a two run triple by Jose Ramirez on which Tyler Collins missed a leaping grab and he would come in to score.  Detroit also failed to capitalize on a two one out situation in the ninth when Jim Adducci froze on a fastball at the knees to end the game.

Detroit 7 Oakland 2.  MIchael Fulmer combines the fastball with the changeup to keep Oakland off balance early on.  Sliders also gave Oakland problems. A fielding error by Adam Rosales led to Detroit's first two runs and timely triples in the sixth and eighth innings accounted for four of Detroit's runs.

Oakland 8 Detroit 6.  A changeup over the plate to Jed Lowrie and a roomservice fastball to Ryon Healy in the ninth inning allows Oakland to take another walkoff win against Detroit.  It also didn't help that the tying run was a batter Francisco Rodriguez walked.  Daniel Norris also struggled with command of his pitches and a throwing error led to an unearned run.

Los Angeles Angels 7 Detroit 0.  Matt Shoemaker combines with three relievers to shutout Detroit on four hits.  Shoemaker used a combination of splitters, fastballs, and sliders.  The Angels also took advantage of Jordan Zimmerman's inability to either get ahead in the count or finish off hitters.  Anibal Sanchez served up his eighth gopher ball of the season in the eighth inning and at the least the fifth with a runner on.

Baltimore 13 Detroit 11, 13 innings.  Inability of the bullpen to keep Oriole hitters in the ballpark gives Baltimore the win.  A fastball over the plate to Mark Trumbo with two outs in the ninth sent the game to extra innings. Essentially, Baltimore's bullpen outlasted Detroit as each team score three times in the 12th before K-Rod hung a changeup to Chris Davis for his second home run of the game.  The big inning also aided the Orioles as they scored seven times sending 10 batters to the plate.
