Just when it appeared Detroit would lose in the 10th inning as a result of a missed scoring opportunity in the ninth, the Tigers score five runs after two outs and nobody on base to hand Cleveland its ninth straight loss 10-8. Cleveland had solo home runs in the top half and added another run to take an 8-5 before Detroit would get consecutive two out walks and an RBI double by Austin Jackson. Omar Infante followed with game tying two run single. Miguel Cabrera sent a towering fly ball over the left center field wall for the game winning home run. The last time a similar comeback occured was last September 27 when Arizona scored six times to hand the Los Angeles Dodgers a 7-6 loss.

Anibal Sanchez puts Detroit in a early 7-0 hole and the bullpen fails to hold the Yankees in check as New York holds off Detroit 12-8 and ends the Tigers six game winning streak and 10 at home. Sanchez lasted only 3+ innings. Detroit would close to 8-7, but again, the bullpen failed to keep New York in check.

Sloppy defense and lack of timely hitting sends Detroit to an 8-3 loss to Texas yesterday. Two errors in the third inning led to three runs which extended the Rangers' lead to 5-0 at that point. The Tigers had three errors and added three wild pitches. Detroit was also 2 for 10 with runners in scoring position. Rick Porcello took the loss to fall to 9-7.
