It's going to take us years until we get a goalie like Jaroslav again.

Meh,

I'd rather have the organization worry about putting together a well rounded team, than worry about finding a goalie that we continuously have to rely on.

ya and when he would tells us to "chill out" or relax, i'd say i was booing the management.

Then his fans would line up excuses for potential failure...aging defense, shot quality, wins don't matter etc etc. then Blues would trade away Conklin and Bishop for third line players because they were bribing the defense to play well when they were in net. Then when all the pieces are put together and there's magical music playing in the background with unicorns and butterflies all around...Halak emerges as the Prince he is and take the blues on his back to promise land. The end.

It's just preseason...but good to see Jaro where he left of last season. He's always good when facing 30+shots.

He made huge saves tonight on Toews, Hossa, Kane, Keith, Seabrook, Campbell, Sharp, Bolland.

Nice to see him do well. But yeah, it's preseason. The real deal starts in less than a week.

Well, not a single player you mentioned was playing,Chicago was trying out some prospects to make a cut...but still Hawks pretty much dominated for first half of the game and at one point shots were 16-4 for Chicago. So nice effort from Halak to keep the game tied but I think him and Blues coach have to organize the D somehow coz they are running around like headless chickens screening him all the time.

He's closing in on Ben Bishop in the battle for starter :P .

But really, quite surprising to see it was only his 2nd preseason appearance in 6 games. Blues have 2 preseason games left and I imagine he'll get both.

He was already sent to farm, only Halak and Conklin there.

It was a joke because Bishop had better stats and people were freaking out about Mayer playing better than Auld and Carey.

Well, I guess he is not playing tomorrow either coz he is doing meet&greet with season ticket holders.Who knows maybe all 35 of them will show up :D

Anyway one can imagine he is going to have a looot of ice time once season starts, lot more than he had during last years obviously.

Guys, Jaro just won his first game as Blues....kind a weird feeling, he was strong, as expected - turning away 29 from 30 shots...

Great game for Halak, looked very confident out there.

I never saw the game, so that's good to hear. Looked at nhl.com, & Halak was 1st star. That sounds just like last year.
