Marshalltown, Iowa - This car thief thought it would be a brilliant idea to steal a 1966 Ford GT40 replica sports car.  To divert attention, he came up with the equally brilliant idea to paint the car black with a roller.  Residents noticed bits of yellow from under the paint and police got involved.  In addition to theft, the suspect was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and numerous traffic offenses.

Barstow, Florida - A newly hired employee attempts to hide his arrest on an outstanding warrant.  He had his girlfriend write letter saying the ATF division of the county sheriff's office was using him on a mission using the office's letterhead.  A small problem was the grammatical errors, misspellings, and the use of all capital letters.  All topped off by the fact the signer didn't work for the sheriff's office.  No word on the suspect's job status.
