What do you think should be the design for Peter Budaj's new Habs mask?

Are there pictures of it anywhere? Cant' seem to find one of it.

Interesting question!

Badaj has had some really cool (and unusual) masks over the years - I think he had ned flanders (of the simpsons) on the back of one at one point! I know he also had something like the hulk on one side if memory serves me correctly.



One of the nice things about a habs player from Slovakia is that their country's flag is also bleu-blanc and rouge! Maybe there's a chance to add a slovak flag at the back of the mask. Even more coincidental than the colours, if you turn a Slovak flag on its side, it looks a little like an "H" inside a "C"







As for a theme, though, Id love to see more superhero motifs (not sure legality of that though). The Hulk, the Thing, Colossus (too bad he's russian, not a slovak) etc - anything that looks big, bukly & likely to stop pucks

I think it would be great to see a mask paying homage to the goaltenders from the Habs whose numbers have been retired by having the side or back of the mask feature a picture of the retired jerseys of Plante, Dryden, Roy... hanging in the rafters.

Budaj should put Halak's playoff numbers as a Hab on his mask. That will be enough to scare a few superstars away in the event that Carey needs a rest
