This post is useless without pics. :P . Obviously the Kingston pen is a magnet for deer.

JK :P

No time to take a pic. The second I looked at him he got spooked, jumped the fence and was gone.

Whistler, famous for painting Whistler's Mother, was the grandson of the last commander of Fort Dearborn, which is the real Chicago before the Illinois and Michigan Canal was built. The population of Chicago exploded after the canal going from 1500 to 2000000.

Whistler is good art. Chicago for the most part is not.

This is a pretty random start to my first forum post but I have an issue: I bought a P.K. Subban poster a few weeks ago. I got it and everything is great (it's up on my wall), however they accidentally sent me two P.K. posters and now I have one that's still rolled up. Before anyone asks "why don't you keep it?" - I honestly have no where to put it and I can't put two Subban posters up, that will just look odd. So, here's my question:

Is there any Habs fans out there that would like to trade posters with me? I'm located in Ontario (Toronto) and I could easily ship out the poster either today or tomorrow. It really doesn't matter to me whether it is a regular sized poster or the size you get from the Canadiens magazine. I'm also not picky about what player/players would be on the poster (it would be nice to have a player from this season or last season but I'm fine either way).

Any help will do, or even any ideas of what I can do with the poster, but please no rude comments.

Thank you!

I wish I could help you but I can't. Having said that, welcome to the forums, LL.

First off, very rarely have I seen any rude comments in this forums, so you will be treated with the same respect that anyone here deserves.

Secondly, IMO, if you move your question here http://fans.canadiens.nhl.com/community/topic/26340-questions-comments-concerns/ , you will find that there is more traffic, and therefore more chance of your question being answered.

Thirdly,,,you can introduce yourself here, and tell us a little bit about yourself. :)

I went for a drive on Sat. and stopped at the casino in Sarnia, Ont. to use their "facilities". I came out of the washroom and in front of me were the 2 cent slots. Well I had a spare $20, so I sat down, put the $20 in,,, pushed the Max Bet button and ding,,,ding,,,ding. It took a min. or 2 to stop. "OK,, how much do I get?" $118 bukeroos, clear money, after my $20,,, and tax free. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D:D:D . Got up,, and went and cashed in. I even bought some lottery tickets on the way out. :)

I just HAD to share. Well not the money,,, but the experience  .

I just found out I won too,

I let this nurse whose son died in front of a train and whose whose was killed by an arsonist ride Peppy. So she got determined to hold on to it because WHATEVER--and her Mom is dying in Florida.

She convinces me to move Peppy near enough to her and it happens after as much ignoring her as I can that there is a rebuilt place I used to take trail rides later in the week after my regular lesson and I'm stupid enough to think my back will get some help if i trail ride from time to time again. Heated, some amenities, and closer than my friend in Wisconsin.

Here's the kicker: It's the property where the owner of Sarge just before me essentially starved him, across from where I acquired him, and the trails of course where I first bonded with Sarge. Not only am I giving Peppy huge shoes to fill, but I feel like throwing up. :D

Nostalgic memories!

A POEM I CAN RELATE TO!
I remember the bologna of my childhood,

And the bread that we cut with a knife,

When the children helped with the housework,

And the men went to work not the wife.

The cheese never needed a fridge,

And the bread was so crusty and hot,

The children were seldom unhappy

And the wife was content with her lot.

I remember the milk from the bottle,

With the yummy cream on the top,

Our dinner came hot from the oven,

And not from a freezer; or the shop.

The kids were a lot more contented,

They didn't need money for kicks,

Just a game with their friends in the road,

And sometimes the Saturday flicks.

I remember the shop on the corner,

Where cookies for pennies were sold

Do you think I'm a bit too nostalgic?

Or is it....I'm just getting old?

The baths were taken in a #3 wash tub,

With plenty of rich foamy suds

But the ironing seemed never ending

As Mama pressed everyone's 'duds'.

I remember the slap on my backside,

And the taste of soap if I swore

Anorexia and diets weren't heard of

And we hadn't much choice what we wore.

Do you think that bruised our ego?

Or our initiative was destroyed?

We ate what was put on the table

And I think life was better enjoyed.

I thought you would say "You're gonna poke your eye out, with that thing".

I just assumed you would wear a motorcycle helmet and safety glasses when playing with it.

Never thought of that. I have 2 MC helmets that are full face shield :D .

In other news.

"Not everyone gets to see a check for $975 million with their name on it. But after a highly contentious divorce, Sue Ann Arnall is looking for more.
She rejected the check her ex-husband Harold Hamm sent her Monday, according to his attorneys.
Hamm agreed to pay the nearly $1 billion back in November. He's somewhat of a legend in the oil business, having built Continental Resources (CLR) from the ground up and led the development of North Dakota's Bakken oil field.
But Arnall, an economist and a lawyer who held executive positions in the company, has said she is entitled to more. She filed for an appeal, claiming that the fortune was due to both her work and his.
Arnall's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The couple was married for 26 years, have two children and had no prenuptial agreement.
To make things even messier, Hamm himself filed for an appeal as well. He claims that with the dramatic drop in oil prices, his company's value has taken a hit, along with his wealth. "
A BILLION DOLLARS is not enough??????

CNN update:

Sue Ann Arnall, the ex-wife of oil tycoon Harold Hamm, has cashed her huge divorce check after claiming earlier this week that the settlement was unfair.

I think I'll start my book like this:

In the spirit of the Native American who wasn't locked in stone loving the prophets of the old world I have reached the point where I can change my name that my future child will not have to honor me that my days shall be long upon the earth, rather honor those who try to secure for their children a better place than we had as we were growing up for we who live in the New World are the spirit of the earth. We have no prophets, only experiences and hold dear only our friendships and lights.

Or something like that. I have to work it out. lol

I'm throwing this in because my luck has turned bad.

Having read the Koran I'm sticking to the view that the Prophet would want the world to speed the trip from Mecca to Medina with boats like the Nile supports lazy boating. Plating the sides with episodes from the Garden of Eden is also appealing.

There is in the Koran a theme that reminds me of the difference between Western and English horses, but I can't quite make it out yet what its all about. Peppy does like to be ridden though so let me know if I can help you travelers to Chicago out.

Peppy needs her board paid today which raises the question: what do the Montreal Canadiens do?

I imagine the boss has them line up on the way out (canadian pronunciation) after the game checks in hand and the shakes with the boys on their way out saying something like, "Well done," but of course, as in most cases, I could be wrong.

:P
