jennifer_rocket 0
It's nice to see Michael having a good start to the year in Junior. I think many fans were concerned with the season he had last year, but it always takes time to adjust to a new situation. McCarron's a project. I doubt he will ever dominate a league in year 1, whether that be the OHL, AHL, or NHL. Hopefully, someday, he will have the capacity to provide reasonable production in a top-9 role in a Montreal uniform.
kinot-1 0
24th in OHL scoring, 4th on the Knights, 1.75 points per game. Last week, it was 1.68. Edited November 10, 2014 by kinot-
ethanraphael 0
I think McCarron's development is pretty much what you'd excpect from someone his size. It takes bigger players a year or two longer, (probably two years in McCarron's case since he is exceptionally large for his age), to catch up with their smaller contemporaries in physical co-ordination. He's likely at the same point on his development curve as Mitch Marner, who is two years younger, but 7" shorter, and 70 pounds lighter or so. Marner will be a first round pick, and probably will go higher in the draft than McCarron did, but five years from now they are both likely to be producing similar point totals in the NHL. Mike has the advantage of being a more complete forward, capable of playing a strong defensive game and adding a physical dimension to the team.
