How exactly did Kadri get away without a suspension for his head shot on Weber? Repeat offender. Hit the head with an elbow, without any full body contact. That should have been a minimum 5 game suspension.

And Kadri gets off scot free for his butt end of a penalty box official. Typical NHL discipline.

I didn't think they would do anything, as usual. I watched that and he deserved a min. of 2 games for abuse of an official.

Considering their yearly salaries, it's funny how Thornton pays less than a player making the minimum.

COPENHAGEN—A 22-year-old Norwegian student has been handed a 250,000-kroner ($38,750 Canadian) fine for drunken driving — but can still count herself lucky.

Katharina G. Andresen is reportedly Norway’s richest woman, a tobacco heiress with a fortune estimated by Forbes at $1.57 billion.

Fines for drunken driving in Norway are based on the defendant’s income. Newspaper Finansavisen reported that Oslo City Court said the penalty could have been up to 40 million kroner ($6.2 million) if based on Andresen’s assets.

The Guardian reported that the state prosecutor had also demanded 18 days in prison, but court accepted that she had “no fixed income” and that her assets “have not yielded any dividend yet.”

The court did increase the fine because of her estimated wealth, however.

The National Hockey League decided not to throw the book at Alex Burrows.

Thrown out of the club’s 5-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night when he punched Dylan DeMelo in the face with his stick or glove during a scuffle along the boards, Burrows got a call from NHL disciplinarian George Parros and received a $5,000 fine on Sunday.
