Kansas City 4 Detroit 2.  Aggressive base running and defensive lapses by Detroit.  Detroit allowed three stolen bases in the third inning, two with a 3-2 count and with two outs on Mike Moustakas and with shift on against the left handed hitter.  So we had a failure to cover the bases.  Detroit hitters continue to be fooled by the slider.

Texas 7 Detroit 6.  Aggressive baserunning by Texas and defensive lapses by Detroit.  After a two run double by Isiah Kiner-Kalefa, he scored the tying run in the sixth from second base on an infield single when pitcher Alex Wilson failed to cover first base.  Delino Deshields reached on a two out error in the seventh and scored all the way from first when Dixon Machado couldn't handle a ground ball that was ruled a single.  Deshields would run down a fly ball in center field in the eighth and Texas turned a double play to end the inning.
