Every year, I do at least one of these Sabres GDTs. Because like any sane person, I hate Buffalo. The hockey team, of course. The best Buffalo Sabres moment in history was Brett Hull. But I'm also not so hot on Buffalo the city, either. There's nothing to like about Buffalo, not even the wings. The only wings I want tonight are free wings at Cage for my friends north of the border

All the good pictures of the Habs and Sabres I could find had players who aren't here anymore, so that's no fun.

GO HABS GO!

Buffalo is the 3rd worst team on the road
They also are 2-7-1 in their last 10 games

No lineup changes expected for the Canadiens for tonight’s game against the Sabres.

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Domi - Shaw
Drouin - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Byron - Thompson - Weal

Mete - Weber
Kulak - Petry
Benn - Folin

Price
Niemi

Scratches: Hudon, Deslauriers, Weise, Reilly, Lindgren

Tatar playing his 500th career game.

Price playing his 60th game of the season. Among goalies with at least 50 starts, he's second in save percentage and 3rd for GAA.

I give the fans some kudos over there. I've been to multiple games in Buffalo wearing Habs gear and i've never been hastled once. They don't seem to mind Hab fans at all. It's Leaf fans they despise, and rightly so. As for the rest of the city,,,, not much to like. Brutal winters ( snow wise) and not the most scenic to drive through. I like the airport there,,,, nice and easy to navigate, unlike that zoo in Toronto.

I'd still rather go through Buffalo then that parking lot they call Toronto.

The Canadiens’ next goal will be the 20,000th in team history (NHA and NHL) as well as the 12,200th on home ice.

Not if that next goals comes tomorrow night in Carolina.

But we haven't beaten them yet this season.

I remember a co-worker mentioning, back towards the end of the Sabres’ hot run, that it was as if the rest of the league caught on to the fact that Buffalo was better than opposing teams gave them credit for. It made sense at the time and could maybe be an explanation for some of our struggles after a reasonably good start that belied pre-season expectations.

Hopefully, if that’s the case, the Habs are wise to them.

Going to miss a chunk of this game because of a dinner thingy. Hoping to come home and see us with a decent lead.

I never plan to get a chicken bone caught in my throat before it actually happens
