MONTREAL - Here are five things you need to know ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Panthers at the Bell Centre.

1. The Canadiens' winning streak came to an end on Sunday night against the Hurricanes when they dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime at PNC Arena in Raleigh. Claude Julien's contingent led for the majority of the game, though, and held Carolina without a shot on goal for the first 14:34 of the second period. Carey Price was outstanding again between the pipes, turning aside 21 shots during the first period alone. He finished the night with 38 saves. Despite falling in the extra frame, the Canadiens still strung together a solid week by picking up seven out of a possible eight points.

2. Paul Byron scored the Canadiens' lone goal in Sunday's loss. It was his 15th goal of the season, and it enabled him to reach the 30-point plateau on the year. He became the 10th Hab to reach that mark during the 2018-19 campaign. The others are Max Domi (67 points), Tomas Tatar (54 points), Jonathan Drouin (52 poitns), Brendan Gallagher (51 points), Phillip Danault (48 points), Jeff Petry (42 points), Andrew Shaw (40 points), Jesperi Kotkaniemi (33 points) and captain Shea Weber (31 points).

3. This will be the fourth and final meeting between the Canadiens and Panthers this season. Montreal won the first two encounters by scores of 5-3 and 5-1, respectively. Florida won the most recent meeting, though, earning a 6-3 victory on February 17 in Sunrise. Tatar (2g, 2a) and Domi (3g, 1a) are the Habs' top point-getters versus the Panthers this year.

4. The Panthers were in action on Monday night, squaring off against the Maple Leafs in Toronto. Bob Boughner's squad fell 7-5 at Scotiabank Arena. Goaltender Samuel Montembeault was pulled after allowing two goals on four shots. Roberto Luongo came on and allowed four goals on 27 shots. Captain Aleksander Barkov leads Florida with 88 points, while Mike Hoffman boasts a team-leading 35 goals.

5. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. You can watch the game on TSN2 and RDS, and listen to all the action on TSN 690 and 98,5 fm.

Habs have a tough six games coming-up, Habs need to win all six & get help from other teams to make the playoffs .

Price is key but the D need to get out of the way & let Carey see the puck, Benn deflected the puck in the tying goal with 5-minutes left to set up overtime .

Habs need help & luck along with a full team performance for the next 6 games, 3 on the road, 3 @ Home .

Go habs Go !!!

How does Niemi feel about Montreal signing a new player named Neimi and giving him the start?

Here's an even more staggering stat:

Yandle (38), Hoffman (35), Huberdeau (33) and Barkov (31) all have more PP points than our team has PP goals.

And, if we dont score any more PP goals in the remaining games, Tim Kerr, Dave Andreychuk, Mario (x2), Joe Niewendyk and Brett Hull (x2) will have scored more PP goals individually in a season than our team did.   Its possible we'll catch Hull, Joe and maybe Mario but i think Kerr's PP single season record (34) is not getting beaten by our team and we probably wont catch Andreychuk either (32).

Weird, cause the Panthers announced yesterday that it would be Luongo... wonder why they changed their minds.
