Making Ducharme's playoff line- up decision a little harder and that is about all he can do right now.

I think he is making it a lot harder! the kid can score! he is fast and the team needs him on the power play he actually shoots the puck!

Congrats! to Cole Caufield on his first professional playoff point!  Many more to come. Good to see DD not afraid to put CC out in OT.

In all fairness, DD had to put CC in OT, because he didn't know how long OT would last.

Im not sure Campbell really know who the players were when they were barrelling down but since both are RHS he was probably thinking Suzuki would have less of a chance of making that shot from the left side.... but he was wrong ;)

I am not sure he would have thought that. Right handed shot on the left side has more options in that situation. Just two skilled players who took advantage of a gifted situation. 20 and 21 to boot :)

not with the angle he was giving him.  CC had a much larger area based on where he was in the net.  Suzuki when he received the puck probably had 1/3 the space coal did & the angle & curve of his blade would make that a much trickier shot.

I mean it happens so fast Im sure they goalie doesnt think too much but seeing those 2 guys coming down you note they are both RHS and in that situation the guy on your left (CC) is the bigger thread.  If Suzuki was LHS then it would have been pretty even.

Yeah. Looked to me like Suzer had 1/3 of an open net. So, to me, he had the better shot, and CC give it to him on a silver platter.

But Suzuki was the guy on the left??? CC was on the right  side.

Anyway. I think any player shooting on their opposite wing will always have more net. CC was on the right side Suzuki was on the left side.

With all the dissection being performed on the OT goal one may get the impression that a Montreal goal is a rare event.

I like the rumour that Perry put a hockey stick in a garbage can in the dressing room to remind the guys that garbage goals count as much as 3-5 passes before a shot to the top corner.

Agreed. Although not silver. Bronze. Actually not an easy pass to shoot at all. But hey, It worked.

love that story............. unlike stall, perry has been good imo

Ya. Respectfully Staal is hard to doubt in a game 7 situation. But truthfully, he had t earned it if Lehks is healthy and ready to go. There’s no one else to sit.

kulak also needs to play. Omg. Insane.

Has this been confirmed? Seems perfect. I loved the Perry signing. Perfect fourth liner and pp specialist at this point.

staal - perhaps in dressing room. But…

Im not sure if that was the intent of this one but I know that Perry has been doing this for years - especially when he's in a slump. In Anaheim he would haul a garbage can into the middle of the room & stick his still in it & then tell everyone to throw their trash in there so he'd get going with a "garbage goal"

Well, he got one last game so lets hope his little slump is over and he pots a few tonight.

The kid's playing impressive hockey, I really think we have an impact player on our hands.

And he just seems to be having so much fun :)

That's what I love most about having these young guys that are making an impact.  Their joy and excitement has got to be infectious.

He knows his limitations when play is heavy along the boards and has great vision to absorb minor hits when he possibly could get crunched. He’s making great passes and keeping his shifts short with solid skating. He seems to be adequate at the defensive side. I’m just so excited about his hockey IQ and pairings with a few of our players like Suzuki. No wonder this kid has excelled at every level he’s played at with his adaptive skills and abilities
