Best case scenario start for the Habs.... an early goal to take a lead and it goes to a guy in a slump. Hopefully that gets him and his line going. Would be nice to get Domi going too now.

TOMAS TATARRRRR is alive and well. Byron had a great shift to set the tone. Boys are jumping today

So nice to see or 5 best offensive players more or less on the first wave and our 5 next-best offensive players on the next wave. No Weal. No Danault. Go with your strengths.

So Muller has been running the PP all these years... but his first day as HC and we see what a lot of us have been asking for... sooo - did Julien have final say in the PP before?

Belzille really trying to get a penalty for hooking there.

Lots of pressure. Need to get that 2nd goal to make it count.

There will inevitably be a letdown coming up before the period is over. We need to get a second goal to ensure all this hard work isn't for nothing!

Grant it, I think they used that same first wave last time out. We just haven't seen much of the PP so far this post-season. But Petry-Weber seems like it's a good idea and I'd argue the PP has looked most effective when Petry has been there as a quarterback (as opposed to Weber who has the big shot but isn't as good of a puck mover). Petry is a poor man's Markov whereas Weber is the Souray/Streit/MAB tee man. It was always a mistake to believe Weber could quarterback the PP by himself.

Also nice to see Suzuki on wave 1 and Kotkaniemi on wave 2, thus some chances for the young skill guys. It never made sense to have players like Weal out there. If you're one of the weakest players at 5v5 and you don't have great offensive skill nor a great shot nor size to screen in front, it didn't really make sense to throw him out on the PP like he was going to create magic there.

Absolutely what we needed to make the pressure a 2-goal lead. Could have considered it a win for Philly if they escaped all that pressure only down 1.

And for those who might not have noticed, Kotkaniemi is picking up his points from the 5 feet around the net. Getting much more involved in the play since the re-start.

Flyers D is having all kinds of problem with the speed and persistence of our fore-check.
