In the ensuing shoving, Wilson threw Artemi Panarin to the ice multiple times.

Panarin left the game after the brawl with what the team said was a lower body injury and did not return. Wilson was assessed four minutes in penalties for roughing along with a 10-minute misconduct. Wilson flexed after making his way to the penalty box, an apparent show of pride in his actions. Buchnevich and Panarin were both given two-minute roughing minors.

The New York Rangers announced that star forward Artemi Panarin will be sidelined for the foreseeable future with a lower-body injury.
During Monday’s game against the Washington Capitals, Panarin was injured in an altercation with Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Panarin responded after Wilson punched Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich in the head. During their scuffle, Wilson body-slammed Panarin to the ground. Panarin left shortly after with a lower-body injury.

With the regular season winding down, the Washington Capitals refuse to take any risks when it comes to Alexander Ovechkin.

Washington was anxiously awaiting Ovechkin's return, after missing the team's previous four games with what the Capitals deemed as a lower-body injury. Unfortunately, Ovechkin's return was short-lived as he left after playing just one shift, amounting to 39 seconds.

The Lightning are one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup this year and their playoff position isn’t in jeopardy, but the team will have to play their way to the finish line without the services of Steven Stamkos. Stamkos is out for at least the next seven games as the forward was put on Long-Term Injured Reserve with a lower-body injury. Tampa made the transaction retroactive to April 9th and Joe Smith of The Athletic is reporting that he won’t be eligible to return to the lineup until May 5th.

Steven Stamkos practices with Lightning, could be ready for start of playoffs.  forward, Nikita Kucherov is cleared for contact, but unlikely to play during regular season.  Tampa coach, Jon Cooper said Stamkos and forward Kucherov, who has been out this season after having surgery on his right hip Dec. 29, have been cleared for contact, but also said it's unlikely either will play in one of the Lightning's final four regular-season games.

Milan Lucic, waives no-movement clause for Flames ahead of expansion draft.  The forward says he wants to stay with Calgary and is willing to help it protect other players.

Now, if only Carey Price would do the same. Still think the Kraken won't take him.

Alex Ovechkin is unlikely to play when the Washington Capitals visit the New York Rangers on Wednesday because of a lower-body injury. The forward left after playing one shift in his return to the Capitals in their 6-3 win at the Rangers on Monday. Ovechkin missed the previous four games with the injury. The 35-year-old did not participate in Washington's optional practice Tuesday, but coach Peter Laviolette said, he remains confident Ovechkin will be healthy for the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot has suffered an upper-body injury against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night and will be out for the remainder of the game.

Ottawa coach, DJ Smith has confirmed that Thomas Chabot’s season is over, the Sens have only  4 games left and they don’t want to take any risk with the star blue liner’s health. It is understandable, since they are 4 meaningless games for the Ottawa Senators..

Does somebody else think he came back too soon?

The New York Rangers have fired General Manager, Jeff Gorton and President of Hockey Operations, John Davidson.
In a move that has shocked the hockey world, the Rangers relieved both Gorton and Davidson of their duties. While the reasoning as to why this move was made is still unclear, more information should present itself when the team makes an official statement. The Rangers say there is no coincidence between the statement released on Tuesday and today’s firing as the owner felt the team was underachieving. And that, everyone, is total !%*?!

Chris Drury is now general manager and president, as per Elliotte Friedman. Within the organization, he was formerly the associate general manager of the Rangers and general manager of their AHL affiliate, Hartford Wolfpack. Boy, is Drury ever set up to succeed!

At age 28yo. Michael Houser stopped 34 shots in his NHL debut, Sam Reinhart scored twice in Buffalo's three-goal third period and the Sabres beat the playoff-bound New York Islanders 4-2 on Monday night.

Before Monday, almost all of Michael Houser’s professional hockey experience since 2015 had taken place in the ECHL. During that time he played just 29 minutes in the AHL, zero minutes in the NHL, and was not on anybody’s radar to be making an impact in the NHL this season. Now, just 24 hours later, he is 2-0 in the NHL and owns a .940 save percentage after back-to-back wins against the New York Islanders. Houser stopped 45 out of 48 shots on Tuesday, and then stopped all three shots in the shootout to pick up his second win in as many days. It is easy to say that he is the bright spot of the 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres season.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Foligno left Monday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens with an upper-body injury.

Nick Foligno is expected to miss at least the next two Toronto Maple Leafs games with an upper-body injury, interrupting his adjustment to a new team with the playoffs just around the corner.

Foligno was injured during Monday’s 3-2 overtime loss in Montreal.

Buchnevich just got tossed for a cross-check to Mantha's face. He body-checked Mantha cleanly, Mantha didn't like it and slashed him on the back of the leg a few times behind the play, then after the whistle, Buchnevich took a run at him and smashed him in the face. My thought... good for Buchnevich. Refs and league aren't going to do anything to protect you, take it into your own hands. Wilson, meanwhile, has left with an "upper body injury" which is code for he left to try and stop having the Rangers go after him because he's a baby and only cheapshots people but doesn't actually want to fight.

The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that New York Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich has been suspended for one game for a dangerous high-stick to Anthony Mantha.  This is his first career suspension.  Now, THAT is ironic!

Michael Houser, of Buffalo, coming down to earth, unfortunatley.  Pittsburg up 8-4, 4 minutes left in the game. Jeff Carter = 4 goals.

Why didn't we get Jeff Carter instead of Eric Stall?
