Oh I've picked Montreal to win playoff series my fair share of times. I've done it several times when we've been underdogs. And like you, I feel like this series is winnable and that it's not as lopsided as the media will make you believe. But I still feel like it's advantage Toronto and that the coaching/personnel deployment on our end is going to let us down. Give me a fresh, healthy Weber/Petry/Price/Gallagher/Danault/Drouin and add in Caufield, Evans, JK, Romanov and I can buy in. But I don't think we're going to get everyone back in full health, I think the vets will be over-played and fatigued by the middle of the series, especially with the back-to-back in the middle, and I just don't trust our coaches to bench Staal/Merrill and to limit Byron/Perry/Chiarot/Edmundson/Weber/Price as needed. Time and again, they've ignored the youngsters in favor of vets and I fully expect Caufield, Kotkaniemi, Romanov, and Kulak to all sit at least a game in the series if not more.

I am going to go with Montreal all the way as a sentimental pick but more likely Carolina wins the series in 6.

MtL. in 6

EDM. in 5

PIT. in 6

WASH. in 6

COL. in 6

MIN. in 7

CAR. in 5

FLA. in 6

MTL over EDM. in 6                COL over MIN. in 6           WASH over PIT in 6        and CAR over FLA in 5

Semifinals HABS over CAR. in 7 and    CAPS . over  COL in 6

HABS to win it all in 7 against the CAPS.    It may be the last time that we see two east coast teams in the final fo a very long time.

This is my order in terms of teams most likely to win the Cup, going from least likely to most likely:

16. Stl (a weaker team in a really tough division)

15. Nas (also a tough draw for them)

14. Wpg (playing poorly and don't like their defence)

13. Mtl (bad coaching decisions will kill them in all likelihood)

12. Min (played above their heads this year but can they get through both Vegas and Colorado?)

11. Pit (not thrilled about how clutch they are and don't love their goaltending situation)

10. NYI (underrated but they'll need a lot to go right)

9. Edm (can get out of their division but will also need things to go right in the back half of their line-up)

8. Fla (I like their roster but they haven't been there before)

7. Bos (they can do it but I don't like the way they match up against Was)

6. Tor (best of the North but maybe not best of the rest)

5. Was (this team has the elements to make another run, as long as their goaltending doesn't let them down)

4. TB (they were favorites going into the year again, but will they be healthy and will their line-up gel in time)

3. Car (they're extremely well-coached and sneakily good)

2. Col (another pre-season favorite, they have a decent shot at this)

1. Vegas (I know they just dropped their first one to Min but they're still the most complete team in the playoffs IMO)
