NHL.com.  Evander Kane will not be in training camp until further notice as investigations into his behavior towards his wife and potentially endangering the health and safety of his teammates continue.

When a player is a bad person and scores goals, we call him troubled or complicated. If he is exactly the same sort of person minus the goals, he is a cancer or an anchor.

Definitely worth a look. Give Norlinder another year in Sweden. If you're going to put a LD on the right side, may as well be a player, SN, that has some familiarity in the league.

I'm thinking,  this is probably a really good idea. 👍

Senators and Brady Tkachuk reps talking daily

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: The Ottawa Senators and Brady Tkachuk’s agents have spoken daily since training camp opened. It’s believed that the Senators have offered Tkachuk eight years at $8 million per. They’d like to get him signed long-term.

Darren Dreger said on TSN radio Monday that the structure of the contract is an issue. Tkachuk is looking for bonus money and the Senators don’t want to do that.

The sides might have to do a bridge deal. The Senators just can’t give in and give Tkachuk everything he’s asking for as they need to keep in mind that Tim Stuetzle and Josh Norris are going to need extensions soon as well.

The Vancouver Canucks have done as expected and signed critical young defender Quinn Hughes to a new contract. The team’s offseason has already involved plenty of interesting transactions, but it is now headlined by retaining perhaps the most important young player on the team going forward. Sportsnet TV analyst Satiar Shah has reported the deal to be six years at approximately $7.75 million.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have made another signing, this time locking down their head coach Sheldon Keefe to a two-year extension. Keefe was entering the final year of his prior deal and will now be under contract through the 2023-2024 season.

The NHL plans to crack down on cross-checking which in my view is years overdue. Question is, what are they gonna let slide to prevent more power plays per game?

Just seen this for the first time.  How is that NOT a hit from behind? And, how is that NOT a penalty? What's the matter with these refs? Again, it looks like it is up to the players to exact punishment. Unfortunately, nobody did. Where is Chris Nilan when you need him.  He was probably one of the best at his job, plus he could get you the odd goal. The others, that we had after, were washed up and couldn't fight anymore,  the Larocques & the Parros. This will certainly affect Niku's chances of making the team, and will need to go to Laval to get to the point for a recall.

Robin Lehner with comments on twitter last night about how Vigneault should be fired and how the Flyers gave benzodiazepenes to players without prescriptions. Several members of the media including Elliotte Friedman have subsequently contacted sources and said they can confirm from others that Lehner's comments are true. In particular, one source saying Nolan Patrick was given sedatives without a prescription when he had a concussion. Lehner responded by saying this wasn't even one of the examples he was talking about but that he isn't surprised by this. The NHL has told Lehner they want to meet with him privately to discuss this.

So the league looks like it's dealing with yet another controversy. After the likes of Mike Babcock mistreating players and the debacle in Chicago and the racism accusations against coaches, now you have accusation against the Flyers and Vigneault... some say this is the tip of the iceberg.

Yea Lehner made comments on twitter . THis should be fun

I’ve made crazy amount of mistakes. But lying about what I’ve seen for 12 years not one of them. I don’t care what they say I don’t lie about these things. 100% true. I’ll keep going. Have stored stories for a year. Watch now when nhl will try cancel me. God luck whatever lie you

Is it common for work places to give out benzodiazepines to employees when they travel and ambien ? Should that not be done by doctors or psychiatrist? Asking for a friend  this doesn’t happen in Vegas to be clear. But I know many other teams. I also been in on teams that do?

#PhiladelphiaFlyers ? Dinosaur coach treating people robots not human. Fire these dinosaurs. Fire #vigneault first story. I got proof.. try to shake your way out of this one …

Enough for today..for everyday that goes by and this shit keeps going I’ll be releasing a story and proof from my self, ex players and current players on what is going on.Truth tweets starts tomorrow unless things don’t get fixed. Have fun. #nofilter #nhl #nhlpa #mentalhealth

Yeah.  Like he says. They'll try to shut him up.
