Yeah, Pre season is such a crapshoot. We have no idea what the team is looking for / asking of the players either.  A guy could have come to camp with a slight groin tweak but wanting to play some minutes so he can work through it & get his skating going etc.  Players may be asked to let their rookie linemates carry the puck etc etc. 

I wouldnt put ANY stock in the preseason games, although they are fun to watch to see the guys back on the ice!

A bit of an odd call. Definitely seemed like a make-up call more than anything. Evans barely touched the first guy and the second one yes was a penalty but almost never see that called and especially when there's already a pending penalty. And Ritchie was an instigator there and didn't get called for it... oh well.
