I love Tom Waits!

Diamonds on my windshield, Christmas card From a Hooker in Minneapolis, even like the cameo he did with Iggy Pop-Coffee and Cigarettes.

I enjoy his acting almost as much as his music. Have you seen Down By Law? He's one of the leads in it. It's an independent film, so it's got that aura that Tom's personality/persona suits well. Plus it's good two cuts from Rain Dogs on the soundtrack.

Dimitri Shostakovich - String Quartet No. 8 in C minor

i've been listening to classical on the drive to see sarge for a while now and for the first time i heard something i liked. of course i knew the reason even before the work was announced. it was in fact done by solti and the cso.

so could it be noted that announcing classical without noting the performers is not noting anything worth noting? :P

Not typical music for our shop, but Buck Owens is playing in the background (customers CD).

Public Image Ltd. - Albatross

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny Rotten's 2nd band after the Sex Pistols died.

Actually he prefers Johnny Lydon now.

PiL.

I'm a big Johhny (Lydon) Rotten fan. Took me a while to get into PiL, was expecting it to sound like the Pistols. All the arm flailing was a lil odd too.

PiL-This is not a love song

No, never saw it.

He's one in a million. Love everything he does, I'd probably like the film.

Thanx for mentioning it.

Rain Dogs is great!

You may be able to find it online somewhere. It's been re-released as part of the Criterion Collection, so it should be easy to find to rent or borrow from a library or whatever.
