  1. It would mean the world to me if some of you joined my Yahoo! Hockey pool. Let me know if you are interested!

  2. Awesome video of Fucale and Drouin, whose NHL teams will faceoff in the playoffs. I couldn`t find a youtube link, so It's on RDS. It`s also in french. http://www.rds.ca/vid%C3%A9os/une-amiti%C3%A9-%C3%A0-toute-%C3%A9preuve-3.959180
  3. Crisp already turns 20 today... (he got drafted at 19 years old?) I guess if he plays well enough in Hamilton until the end of the season, Bergevin could sign him and he could play in Hamilton as early as next season.
  4. Brisebois mentioned in passing during an interview that he was impressed with Didier's progression. Remember, he's a fourth round pick, which is still high enough. He could cause a few surprises. After reading a few recent articles, his style of play reminded me a bit of Josh Gorges... He gets a sick pride from blocking shots. However, contrary to Josh Gorges, he plays a very physical game and can jump into the offense from time to time. He's also the captain of his University of Denver team. He needs to be signed by June 1st 2015, so there's still time. Like I said, he could cause a few surprises.
  5. It's been interesting to see his game shift... People increasingly see him as a power forward, rather than an enforcer, which is great news for us. He's scored a couple of beauty's here in Sudbury. To me, he comes across as a power-forward who fights often.
  6. In a recent interview with RDS, he said he's hopeful he'll be back in shape and ready for next season. In case anyone is curious, he also said he lost a whopping 30 pounds while in his coma.... All the best, Tim. Hope to see you at camp.
  7. Lehkonen signed a two-year contract with Frolunda of the Swedish elite league. I believe that's the same team Collberg has been playing for. Judging by the way Collberg was used by this team, I'm not sure what to think of this...
  8. You must be excited about this signing, powerplay2009! The captain of your hometown team is now a step closer to playing for your favourite NHL team! I love Bennett's play, he's definitely one of our great prospects on D. His old teammate Pateryn should help him ease the transition for him!
  9. 24.6% chance for the leafs to make the playoffs compared to 99.8% chance for my habs, according to sportsclubstats. Life is good.

    1. kinot-1

      kinot-1

I'm surprised it's that high. The leafs chances that it.

Well I woud love too see the leafs embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs

  10. When we acquired him at the trade deadline, I told myself that the success's of this team and the chemistry he develops with his linemates would determine whether or not he would re-sign with the team. The team has been playing great hockey since he joined and the the chemistry he seems to have developed with Patches and Desharnais is great to see. I also think he really enjoys playing at the Bell Centre (seems to love coming out during the three stars announcement). I hope he considers making Montreal his home. He's already a fan favorite.
  11. 7 points (2G, 5A) in 2 playoff games so far for Reway.
  12. That's great news! Looks like he made it out! I'm not very fond with the long-term effect of meningitis... Obviously, he's out for the season. That I'm sure of. But because of this incident, could this mean that his hockey career is potentially over? Either way, what's important at the moment is that he gets back to normal!
  13. Just a tragic week in hockey... sending positive vibes out to the Trafford, Peverly, Bozon and Stajan families.

  14. There haven't been any updates in the last 3 days regarding Tim's conditions... I hate to be a pessimist, but usually no news is bad news.
  15. RDS said that his condition is potentially deadly. This is some sad, sad stuff. I hope he pulls through.
  16. Dave Stubbs ‏@Dave_Stubbs 2m #Habs prospect Tim Bozon reported by Kootenay Ice to be in critical condition, per his parents, w/ meningitis http://www.kootenayice.net/article/update-on-tim-bozon … #HabsIO Oh no.
  17. Tim has been hospitalized and is suffering from meningitis. All the best, I wish you a full recovery...
  18. Bozon put up 3 Goals and 1 Assist against Lethridge last night. After a horrible start that saw him put up 3 points in his first 9 games, Bozon has really picked it up, especially since being traded to Kootenay. However, Bozon remains a mystery to me. Last season, when he put up 91 points in 69 games, he benefitted from playing on a line with Colin Smith and JC Lipon. When he started the season without the two this year, he put up 7 points in 13 games before being traded. Yes, it seems he has turned it around with his new team... HOWEVER he is playing with top 2014 NHL draft prospect Sam Reinhart (ring a bell?). I think Jaedon Descheneau deserves some praise too. He went undrated in last years draft, mainly because of his size, but he's been a big reason for Kootenay's success this season. Descheneau is first in scoring for Kootenay with 74 points in 52 games, Reinhart in second with 73 points in 42 games, Philp with 58 points in 54 games and finally, Bozon sits in 4th with 48 points in 41 games since joinging Kootenay. What I'm getting at here is the fact that I want to see Bozon produce without dominant players on his line. I guess we might get that chance next year in Hamilton.
  19. Interesting article on Bennett: http://www.providencejournal.com/sports/college/content/20140201-mac-bennett-set-to-take-the-next-step-in-his-hockey-career.ece "I talk to Patrice Brisebois, (Montreal’s) player development guy, after every weekend. He tells me that he likes my progress, he likes where I’m going, likes my game. He says my best asset is my skating, and I would have to agree with him,” said Bennett, who played a year at La Salle Academy before tranferring to Hotchkiss." “Mac is a leader in every sense of the word,” says legendary Michigan coach Red Berenson. You spend five minutes talking to him about any subject and you’ll say this kid’s got confidence, he’s got self-esteem, he knows what’s right, he’s an athlete, and a competitor. He’s all in with this program and this team.” Oh and take a look at this absolute beauty!
  20. I thought I'd update everyone on our "training camp standout" of 2013 (Let's be honest, there's always one surprise at every training camp!). Reway has undoubtedly been one of our best prospect. Let's see here... He absolutely tore up the world juniors, if anyone missed it. He's currently tearing up the QMJHL league with an outstanding 45 points in only 28 games! They have him playing the point on the Powerplay, and it's paid dividends. The guy has incredible speed.
  21. It's been a joy watching him here all season in Sudbury. He's one of the big reasons why the wolves are having so much success this season. I met him and had a little chat with him a while ago. He's a class act, and we're proud to have him on our team because even though he has to play in the worst arena in the OHL for half the games this season, not to mention one of the coldest cities in the OHL (especially with the polar vortex this year, it's been -40 for a big part of the winter) he still gives it his all, and plays with heart. He also always sports his habs apparel, he's obviously extremely proud to have been drafted by this team. Go wolves go!!
  22. The enigma that is Brady Vail... only time will solve it.

  23. Same. Therrien has said himself that he can already do many things with the puck that NHL'ers can do. I'll be paying close attention to him this season in the QMJHL
  24. He just signed a three year entry level contract. http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=682553
  25. From what I've heard from people who've kept very close tabs on the development camp, he's been one of the best defenceman there, shwowng all around great two-way play. He has a great shot from the point. He has a little side career as a music producer, and apparently he's quite good at that too.
