NHL.com.  Anaheim forward Nick Ritchie has been fined $4121.86 for a cross check against Montreal defenseman Christian Folin.  The incident occurred at 14:04 of the first period and Ritchie was given a two minute minor for roughing.

If the cross check was severe enough to warrant a fine why wasn't a five minute major called at the time of the incident. This happens too often. It's time for the refs to get their heads in the game.

imho...that was beyond "roughing"...........should have been ejaculated from the game and suspended a few more........you dont just accidentally push your stick across another player's throat......especially at or after the whistle

NHL.com.  Philadelphia forward Jakub Voracek has been suspended two games for interference against Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk at 5:41 of the third period.  Voracek was assessed a minor for interference.

In my opinion he got 2 games because it was actually a head shot.
