Message sent by the League today,,,,, we want to rid the League of head shots unless your a superstar player. Everybody gets suspensions unless you fall in the category of a McDavid,,,, in which case you give us all your pocket change.

College free agent Odeen Tufto signs an entry level contract for the 2021-22 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The forward played for Quinnipiac University during the 2020-21 men’s college hockey season.

Tufto is up for a slew of awards this season, including First Team All-ECAC Hockey and All College Hockey News Second Team. He was also named the ECAC Player of the Year, and finished top 10 in Hobey Baker Award voting.

Why don't we ever sign elite free agent college players?

The Nashville Predators’ injury troubles continue to get worse. Today, they announced that forward Filip Forsberg is week-to-week. He joins a long list of Preds players that include Matt Duchene, Ryan Ellis, Mark Borowiecki, and others. However, this may be the worst loss yet. Nashville was finally starting to find some steam and work their way into the playoff race lately. However, this is another tough injury to overcome. Forsberg is one of, if not, the most important forwards on the team. The Swedish forward is having an unreal season so far with 29 points in 34 games. Additionally, he and Duchene both being out takes a big hit to their top six.

The NHL has suspended Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson three games for elbowing Los Angeles Kings defenceman Tobias Bjornfot.

Like in the discussions, different standards.

Yes if it happened to one of our players the offender would get nothing for it but we all know that.
