Habs Fans Introduce Yourselves

Haha... yeah well, sometimes the french is going bleed in a little bit.

Luckily for me I speak english pretty well... French... not so much(which is hilarious because my GF just started speaking english like a year ago... language barrier is pretty fun to manipulate).

Non still means no, though ;)

I have neglected to say "Hi" in here despite being a newbie to the forum this Winter.

Hi from the South Coast of England (weekdays at work) and Hi in a slightly different accent from near Cambridge on the weekends, where the wife and kids live. Just for the extra confusion, all these "Hi's" and all other posts of mine need to be read in a reasonably non-cockney London accent.

Allez Les Habitants!

Haha, and chances are good that we know each other! w00x for living in a city < 300 000 people!

Woot, I'm from a country that has around 500 000 inhabitants, with around 80 000 in its biggest city, the capital.

And welcome to all other new arrivals!

I have been on this forum for a few years now and have never formally introduced myself.

My name is Curtis and I live in northern Alberta, I have been a passionate Habs fan my entire 31 years of existence.

I was old enough to remember the 86 cup and Roy's amazing playoffs as a rookie. My favorite player was Sir Patrick then until Dec 2, 1995. I hate the man now and always will for his selfish act. I read the book that his father wrote; if you want to read a book about how someone's son is the most amazing ever, then read this book...PUKE! Now, I don't think that what transpired after was very smart on the organization's part, Rejean should have tried to resolve the issue or make a trade that makes sense if you are going to trade him. Anyway, the crest on the front is what you play for, not the name on your back Sir Patrick, I don't care if you let in 9 goals, you play your heart out like you would in any other game!

Favorite all-time Hab: Maurice Richard, obviously never seen him play but "Le Rocket" is a natural selection!

Favorite Habs that I got to see play: Koivu, Kovalev, LeClair, Recchi, Muller and Roy

Favorite NHL players that never played for the Habs: Scott Stevens, Joe Sakic and Steve Yzerman

Favorite Current Hab: Michael Cammalleri, Carey Price is a close second!

Current NHLer that I wish played for the Habs: Besides the obvious selections of Sid and OV8, I pick Ryan Kessler, he is a very dynamic player with speed, size and agility. He would be a perfect center for our second line.Least favorite NHL players: Phil Kessel, Sean Avery and Matt Cooke

Favorite Habs memory: Shutting off the TV at my Dad's place with my cousin (die hard Oiler fan) when we were down 5-0 vs the Rangers, my cousin laughing and cheering for the Rags. I was losing it, I told my Dad, also a huge Habs fan, shut this off, we'll eat supper and relax. When we turned on the TV to check the score, the Habs scored within seconds, we looked at each other and said, "it's a sign, we're going to comeback!" My cousin laughed and said that we were crazy!! We watched and cheered louder and louder every time they scored. What a game, what a comeback and what a night! My cousin is still eating that huge crow!

Least Favorite Habs memory: Trading John LeClair! Trading Roy for The Tank, Rucinsky and ...some goalie!

Most hated Teams in the NHL: Obviously the TML and the Booins but besides them I hate the Oilers and Flames, especially the Flames!

Next up: Would love to make a trip to Montreal for a few games next spring! Especially if this team is really clicking and our D prospects make the jump. I am very excited for PK Subban, I think that he will impress and force the organization to put him on the roster.

Maybe he should be here already. If Drew and John can play here then why can't PK?!

Hi, Im from the small seaside town of Girvan on the South West Coast of Scotland and have been a Habs fan since 2001 when one of my relatives went to Canada on holiday and brought me back a Canadiens shirt and cap (the red, white and blue colours help as im a big Glasgow Rangers fan also).

38 years old and work in the hotel industry, as mentioned big Rangers soccer fan, also like cricket and darts.

We get the hockey games in the UK on ESPN America and Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday nights.

Go Habs !

Hello fellow habs fans! I currently live in the US (Seattle area) and am looking forward to moving back home to BC where I grew up. Why do I like the habs and not the Canucks? Well, the first game I ever saw, as a little boy, was the Canadiens v. Nordiques. The habs won and I was hooked. :) So, anyway, I'm happy to be here and look forward to seeing the cup go home where it belongs. Cheers!

Hello and congrats for an awesome game today and series win over the "undefeatable" Caps.

I'm a Buffalo fan for 40 long hard years but prior to that--when the tabletop hockey game was something we all looked forward to every night after homework-- I was always the Habs. I had Cournoyer, Mahovalich, Dryden, Lafleur, Savard, Lapointe....etc. I appreciate the history of the Canadiens and have been very lucky to visit Montreal 3 times.

When everyone in this town was saying that no way Montreal would beat the Caps---I just knew you would. First game of the this series was a bummer, but today you looked great.

I hope Spacek comes back soon for you guys. I was very enthused for the Pens last year, but seeing how much heart the Canadiens have shown so far is inspiring--I can't help but root for you--and think at this point anything is possible.

Best wishes from Buffalo---Go Habs Go!

Lori

Hi Everyone! I am from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and have been a Hab fan since I picked up a hockey stick at 5 years old. I lived in Montreal from 18- 20 years old and played hockey in Verdun, Quebec so it is great to talk to hocky fans that love the Habs as much as I do.

Thanks! Don't tell anyone, but I found it on photobucket  .

It IS very cool but unfortunately, it exceeds the size allowed on this forum. Please reduce it to 450 x 150 pixels and 75 Kb maximum. I'll give you a couple of days to change it.
