kinot-1
I'm not a Canadien's fan per se. But I've always respected the team. Even more so with a story for you. I'm from Vancouver, back in 1991 the Canucks was finally starting to turn around under Pat Quinn. On December 4, 1991 the Canucks played at the Forum. As a Canucks fan I thought, yup we'll get killed yet again. But something crazy happened. Kirk McLean stopped 45 shots to Patrick Roy's 22. The Canucks won 3-0, but the Canadiens were throwing EVERYTHING they had at him. At the end of the game, the fans in MONTREAL...gave McLean a standing ovation. A standing ovation for the opposing goaltender! I knew then the fans in Montreal really knew their hockey, and showed such class by doing that simple act. I'll always admire the fans in Montreal, and I always wish the best for their hockey club. Merry Christmas/Joyeux Noel! Thank You GhostofLuongo, and You Have a Very Merry Christmas as well. lanfyhabsfan
Probably not the place to post this but I am a die hard Habs fan. Myself and a friend are going to Montreal just for a game on February 21st against the Stars. Being from Saskatchewan naturally I am a huge fan of Travis Moens. Would anyone out there have a contact for him??? a e mail?? or just anyway of getting ahold of him. This will be my first time watching him and i am pumped. Last time i went to a montreal game I was like 10 at the old forum so I am really excited for this and possibly for the chance to talk to Travis. Thank you to anyone that can help me. Been a habs fan since the age of 1 day and i am 29 now. From saskatoon saskatchewan I am looking forward to visiting the Bell Center in 2 weeks.. and see Travis play. Jeff Lanfermann lanfy23@hotmail.com 1st off,,,,welcome to the Habs forums, we hope that you will join us in the discussions of our Habs. Secondly,,,,I (personally) don't know of any way you can get ahold of Travis, however, if you plan on going to the Bell on Feb. 21, I am not sure if Travis will still be with us, as the trade talk is that he might be traded, because he will be a UFA at seasons end. Try and keep up with all of the trade talk, as time goes on, as there are threads here that will tell you what is going on, with all of the Habs players, as well as a trade rumour thread. ChiefJunior
Hi. I am a true diehard MTL fan. I was literally born with a Habs jersey on. In fact, in my junior kindergarten picture I am wearing a Habs jersey. That was close to 39yrs ago. I have checked this site out for awhile, but never really decided to do much but read peoples posts. However I figured I might aswell add my input, hopefully some appreciate it. I am a fan of a bit more physical style of play, and would love to see MTL adopt a more similar style, like the 70s (although it will be impossible to touch those teams). I'd like to see MTL with a good mix of skill & toughness, like they were in the 70s. Personally I believe hockey will be more like that (not bench brawls or broad street bully stuff), but all players having to be able to play the game, but some with the forte of scoring/passing etc.. and some for hitting/fighting (to simplify it). We'll certainly see how it goes...
