FirstStar
Never did this. I'm Justin, 26...live in BC. My dad is from Montreal and been watching games in French (back in the day on the secondary French CBC channel, just saturday nights, nowadays on RDS (which we annoyingly can't get in HD on our provider)) for as long as I can remember and love everything about the team. Favourite player is Carey, but Gallagher is going to make that one tough over the next few years I think. Oh and I have an unhealthy love for all things Swede in the NHL, and am liking the couple of young Swedes they have. Also, I love Lars "Larry" Eller. have loved swedish players ever since I grew up watching mats naslund... hence my signature.
THEBIGGESTHABSFAN123
Hey, after this year I thought I was the only one whose favorite player is Price. In the most popular player thread I think I was the only one who listed Price as #1 on my original list. Glad to know I'm not alone.

KovalevFan18
I have not been on here in a long long time, I had a profile on here macpherson8 at least 8 years ago I dont even remember when it was but I lost my password somehow eventually and couldnt log on so I stopped coming on here everyday. Randomly decided to try and sign in with my old account today by guessing passwords I use with my email and it logged me on as this. I guess I must have made it when I lost my password and then forgot about it. Anyways, I am Alex, from Halifax, favourite habs ever would be Shayne Corson and Martin Rucinsky.. not sure why I just loved them when I was little. Favourite current habs would have to be PK and Gallagher. Became a Montreal fan basically when I was born (I am 23) my dad grew up in Montreal and his dad is a leafs fan so I chose my dads team when I was younger and never looked back. Played competitive hockey from 5-19, now I just play pick up with friends here and there.

adkwings81
No, it doesn't sound crazy. I'm first and formost a Habs fan, secondly, I also root for the Red Wings. I'm originally for Vermont and rooted for Montreal Canadiens. In by adult years, Living in upstate New York, I followed The Red Wings minor leage affiluate Adirondack Red Wings. Since the Red Wings minor affiluate left Glens Falls, NY I watch the NHL Detroit Red Wings more than I did prevously, now living in Michigan the Red Wings are the local team, however, Montreal Canadiens will always be my primarly number one team. lmao at the censors. Anyways, I'm goleafsgo100 and I'm a Leafs AND Habs fan. Sounds crazy, I know. I was born in Montreal and moved to Toronto when I was 1. I go to Montreal a few times a year and it feels like my second home. I have relatives who live there.I know it's extremely unique and weird but I just can't bring myself to cheer against the Habs. Now to be honest if it was the Leafs vs. the Habs I'd cheer for the Leafs but in any other situation I would go for the Canadiens.I have to change my username some how though. I want it to be something like Leafs/Habs fan.

Hey,, welcome to the Habs forums. As you might see from my sig, I have been nothing but a Habs fan. With you living in MI., it's understandable that you might also like the Wings. We also have another member living in Mi. (although I am not sure where ). Cruise around the various subforums and reply to any post you may feel like. Shane_Holloway
Hey everyone! Shane here, fairly young montreal fan (23) been following the team as long as i can remember as the montreal canadiens were always a household name, grandfather, father, and now me haha. i joined this forum to get a little insight about visiting montreal. im not sure if this is the right place for this but im gonna try anyways. Me and my girlfriend recently booked a 7 night vacation in montreal and i have tickets for 2 games, Isle on nov 10th in the White zone, and Tampa on nov 12th in prestige. im really pumped for my first NHL games and i was wondering what to expect, i hear beer prices are pretty expensive at the bell centre . lol and are white zone good seats? also if any forum members are residents of montreal, maybe a little list of things i can check out for a week? already heading to the hall of fame, and the bio-dome and im sure the girlfriend will be very interested in some of the amazing shopping malls you have the offer. one last thing, where the best spot in montreal for poutine ? looking foward to being an active member on this site ! thanks

First, every seat in the Bell Centre is a good seat For my personal taste, whites are a bit too high up from the ice but again, you'll still have a great view. Prestige seats are da bomb! (does anybody still say that? also if any forum members are residents of montreal, maybe a little list of things i can check out for a week? already heading to the hall of fame, and the bio-dome and im sure the girlfriend will be very interested in some of the amazing shopping malls you have the offer. You could perhaps do the touristy thing and book a guided city tour. This way you'd get a nice overview and make your own mind on what you really want to see/do (the Casino, the Mount Royal belvédère for great views of the city, museums and cathedrals if you're into that, etc) . Old Montreal is a must though with perhaps a little calèche ride to please the lady St-Denis street is the place to go for bars and immersion in the French culture. Crescent street for bars with the more anglo clientèle. Good and great restaurants can be found throughout the city. one last thing, where the best spot in montreal for poutine ? Definitely La Banquise http://labanquise.com/en/ looking foward to being an active member on this site ! Welcome aboard! thanks
