Hey all, I'm a producer born and raised in Montreal now living in Toronto but I always been a huge HABS fan, which is hard in this city. Anyhow, I produced this little 1 minute promo to pump up Habs fans during the series and hope you can enjoy, like and share it before the games! #GOHABSGO . The track at the back end also samples the theme to "Hockey Night in Canada". Enjoy!

Hey,

Name is Scarlett-Raven, I've been a long time Canadiens fan, but only recently a hockey fan. To anyone that is confused by that, I never grew up with Hockey, so I never really watched it, but I always thought that if I did watch Hockey I'd root from the team that comes from my home town of Montreal.

I've only started watching and paying attention to Hockey for about 3 seasons now. My favourite player is Carey Price. I believe he is one of the best goalies out there today, and also gets extra points for playing so awesomely at the gold medal game in Sochi 2014 Olympics.

I've understood the banter that friends and strangers do when rivalling teams. But I have unfriend people on Facebook, when they come and insult my team. Not for the fact of me claiming Canadiens are the best, but for the fact that I do not agree in having people come onto my personal pages and insult me for liking any team of any sport. Especially by trying to justify their actions claiming that Flames are better than Canadiens, that is not true, nor a valid excuse for being a dick to me.

The reason it has taken me so long to start watching Hockey is mostly due to its fans. There are a lot of respectful fans, but there are also a lot of disrespectful type fans. When Calgary Flames got into the playoffs a few years back, I was still in Highschool, and found out that there were students being beaten so badly they were hospitalized for the sole fact of not liking the Calgary Flames. The hardcore fans that go on insulting rampages have always made things less enjoyable for me, whether it be Hockey, music, or whatever.

The reason I've finally got into watching Hockey, is because I now have a friend that has showed me that you can enjoy watching Hockey, and like two different teams.

So um yeah...Hi.

I was born in Central America, moved to Canada in 1990 at the age of nine (Park Extension, Wiseman) I saw some Greek kids hitting a tennis ball with a stick and approached them. One of them handed me a stick and asked me to play, seemed pretty straight forward, hit the ball into the net. I fell in love and have been ever since. Then school started and kids would talk about the habs, le tricolore, les Canadiens etc. and name players. The more I played the more I loved it, I bought my first stick at Rossy on Jean-Talon, flat, no curve. Then we moved and I joined an after school backyard team. They needed a goalie so I made pads out of couch cushions and my love for playing between the pipes began. I soon became a fan of a certain Patrick Roy and Kirk Muller then in 1993 when they won it it cemented my love for a sport that I've been playing and watching passionately ever since. I've been playing with the same team since 1998 and I hope to play until I'm physically incapable. Go habs Go!

LOL....I made goalie pads out of the foam rubber used inside couch cushions and that was over 50 years ago. As for tennis balls, we couldn't wait until the balls got bald! Man, could we ever zing those babies around and they would do all kinds of nasty things. Good times! Welcome to the forum Ramon!

Hi everyone, I've been a habs fan since I started watching hockey... a long time ago. Not about to give away my age, lol.

It is simply not possible to grow up in the Montreal area without becoming a fan. Since my hubby grew up in Hamilton, he is unfortunately a leafs fan, but we are polite to each other on game nights!

Among my favorite players are LaFleur, Worsley, and of course both Richards. I never got to see a game at the forum, one of my biggest regrets, but follow the game as much as I can on tv and the computer.

Oh well, I earned all my grey hairs anyway, proud of em actually!

Roy, my hubby, is from the north end originally, around stapleton ave. I think. Now we're near the General hospital.

Greetings--

Been around for a while. First joined in 2005-2006 season under different username (zachary-jean) and kept with it until format change or whatever it was wiped out a lot of information, though I think by then I was on my second username (muskeg). Rejoined in 2011 or so but had an issue two seasons ago where I couldn't stay logged in.

Back around for another go. It's nice to see a lot of the same names contributing posts just as insightful as when I left.

Hey guys

I'm a Hamilton Bulldogs fan from Hamilton, so pretty much a Habs fan by default. Just hoping to give some insight from what I've seen watching games in the Hammer.

Cool. We don't get many updates from the farm. Welcome news about the kids.
