Guest habinto
CITATION(habinto @ Jun 13 2007, 05:10 PM) * He's expected to be 7 feet tall and 300 pounds in about 2 years. LOL TRADE KOMISAREK and (6th round pick) for Chris philips Komi as yet to reach his full potential, he has leadership qualities and he is big and likes to hit. No rush to move this guy. Guest GDECHANTAL
chris pronger did some filling out ,and like pronger, mike should get alittle bigger and stronger, which will give him more confidence ,and he still learning the nhl game ,philip's has peeked and is now on the down side ,he did not make a in the finals ,so why trade a young player like mike to ottawa for philipps ,crazy
Guest overlords
Moving komi would be one of the biggest mistakes the CH could do right about now. We've been looking for a strong solid defenseman for so long and we finally have on and he's cheap. He doesn't fight much but when he does he's fearless. AND he's young. What more could we ask from this guy?
LetsGoLesHabs
ok... Komi is the most commited on the Habs , we need more players like komi he may not be the most skilled but he gives it all every game
Guest HabSteve
Looks like big Komi and Higgins just got signed to 2 year deal! I would have hoped for 3 or 4 years, but it's good news! http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect...newsItemID=5970 According to RDS, Komi will get 1.5 for the first year and 1.9 the second http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/231089.html
fourtrax
That's a good signing for a young player who logs lots of minutes against very tough players night after night. Now let's try to forget the fact that this year Komisarek is STILL making less than Bouillon or Dandenault, who play on the third pairing. Arg. I did forget about it until you mentioned thanks alot 2 years? I'd prefer to have him for 3-4 but its better then a one year deal. Plus if Komi keeps improving his overall game like he did this year I could see them extending it down the stretch

Kindred
If he had of signe a longer term it would have ment more $$$$ more money in the long run but if it was a contract like Markovs where the cap hit is the same each year I'd be very happy to pay him 1.5 million a year for 3 years

franck5890
I definitely didn't expect us to be able to sign both for more than a single-year contract. Great to see they both want to play here!

I myself would tend to think the player did not want a longer term as, like you feel, he will get better and be able to get more money. There is no reason for him to lock in for four years, unless of coarse Bob was willing to take a risk and pay more.
