ColRouleBleu
Here's a great article from habsinsideout.com about my favorite player, Mike Komisarek. Enjoy. http://www.habsinsideout.com/2007/07/multi...ying_by_f/#more I just finished reading the article and was about to come post it here. GREAT STUFF! How can anybody not love this guy! except maybe the players getting punished by him on the ice
Guest smoke
All i really remember about mikey from last season, were those 2 short handed goals he scored, and all of those HUGE hits he laid out on everyone
fourtrax
Funny, we spend years clamouring for tough, physical players because we're supposedly too small and soft, but then complain when we get what we want. Komisarek is a great young player, exactly the right complement to Markov's smart positional play. He plays hard and physical, keeps the game simple in his own end, and flattens enemy players when he gets a chance. He'll be a valuable part of our D for years to come. Guest smoke
I did as i pointed it out in the above thread, I mean one of those was a total fluke goal, Its like When begin was on fire 2 yrs ago, and we then thought he could play on the first line, Sometime you just get super lucky. Komi works super hard to get those lucky goals going in. good for him as he deserves it..

Guest Hoser
Eklund again! Ahhhh. This guy has so many players coming and going from Montreal it is a wonder that people still quote him. When did Eklund ever say that was going down? Montreal would absolutely love a pure goalscorer like Hejduk. So we say, "Hey, Avs, we're interested in Hejduk!" But it turns out that the Avs like Hejduk too! So they say "Sure, you can have him - if you give us your most promising defender in the last two decades." And the offer's off the table. Eklund never says that such a deal would be accepted by Gainey or that it was done... some people take Eklund bashing way too far.

As much as Hedjuk would be great as a Hab, i'd rather keep Komisarek. We'd be giving up way too much in this huge, young d-man. Our defense is already pretty weak, and as you can see by the past two drafts, d-men is what Bob is after because he knows it too. Komi > Hedjuk (For our purposes)

Guest Greek Hab
Team990 Summary with Mike Komisarek: - Mike is in NY training with some team members. Higgins was mentioned. They do yoga. - Mike called Higgins a freak due to the fact that Chris had shoulder surgury last month, and is not working really hard in training. - Biggest thing Habs have been trying to tweak this summer, is their nutrition. And of course, speed, power, overall fitness. - Personal goals for Mike(up coming years): "Win the Cup", "Make the all star roster", "Be apart of the Olympic Team(USA) in Vancouver." - Komo on Brisebois: He's unsure what the position is so far, but believes the staff knows what they are doing with trying to acquire a verteran dman. - Komo wants a dog, Mike really loves dogs. - Mike believes that our biggest player lost this season was Shelly due to his points on the PP ect. - For the rest of the summer, Mike plans to train: From 8am to whenever, the team is on the field-gym-and then a lil skate.(Mon-Wed-Fri) - Tuesdays and Thursdays are yoga workouts. - Lol Downey is there! He just took the microphone from Komo and just started talking. Apperently Aaron loves doing crosswords to help him relax.
