Last thing we need his Komisarek to get a broken hand punching McGratton's helmet or something stupid like that.

Guest HabsFanSince84
What a game for Komisarek tonight, a shorthanded goal and he was +4. It was nice to see him wallpaper that bonehead Mcgratten. Trust me, it was Funner seeing this Live, drove to Ottawa just to watch the game and came back home, what a Game for Komi! This man is finally taking the place he deserves!

Dang, Hoser, now I can't get the image of "Can't Get Enough of Your Love" (or whatever the name of that Barry White song is) playing while Komi flattens McGrattan. Repeatedly. Replayed. In slow motion. From different angles. I love it when so-called tough guys or enforcers get punished with really hard, clean checks. They can't take it and turn into screaming little babies. That's right! :D New Yorkers rule. We're BOTH lovers and fighers. Now if only Higgins is back in time for the Islanders game on the 7th As for Barry White music... instead of that, I was thinking more of the line of ol' school 70s porn music. CRUNCH!! go KOMI go. Komisarek unleashed..... gosh, what happens to this Kid?! He's playing like a freakin' experienced 5 times winning Stanley Cup veteran out there! ;-) Okay not that much, but he does great. He has become what I call the new "stay at home" guy. He moved from beeing a real stay at home to be one, but one that is fast, can read the game and still throws crunchy hits...

Guest The_Hockey_Specialist
Komisarek unleashed..... gosh, what happens to this Kid?! He moved from beeing a real stay at home to be one, but one that is fast, can read the game and still throws crunchy hits... His confidence boost is really helping his game. He always had the potential but was making rookie mistakes earlier in his career mostly because he was looking for the big hits and not taking care of business. Now he picks his spots, so instead of seeing 3 thunderous hits or so a game and a -1 at the end of the night he'll pick his spots and play smart hockey and land 1 or maybe 2 big hits and ends the night even or +1 which is huge for his confidence. Komisarek has the chance to be a bonified clutch D-man in the NHL if he continues playing this way with an impressive mass of 240 pounds and great legs that seem to carry him as if he weighed 180 pounds which is really impressive. Also, I love it when he scores goals, it's like we got our version of Ovechkin who celebrates his goals as if it'll be the last one he'll ever have and I cheer for him most when he scores goals and do my "special dance". Guest habs_fan1160
He has been playing great, he's really giving us the strength on the blue line that we've been lacking for years and he is decent offensivley too. He had some great hits on the Sens last night and about 10 seconds before he scored his goal I said "Now all he needs to do is score" and he did. Good job on the season Komi, I hope he's a long term Habs player.
flames4eva
Ditto all the positives mentioned about Komisarek... he has really stepped it up this year and playing with Markov hasn't hurt... the guy's a scoring threat shorthanded... how mnay of us would have thought that? hockey_gal89
Known for his physical style, Komisarek, who ranks third among the league’s defensemen with 46 hits, is the first Canadiens blue-liner to score two shorthanded goals in one season since Chris Chelios did so in 1989-90. Serge Savard (1969-70) and Jim Roberts (1971-72) hold the are tied for the team record with three. I took the above from the gameday notes on the web site. Chelios? Savard? Looks like Komi's in some good company there.
bushfirerecords
Way to go Komi. The most impressive part is that Komi is a defensive defenseman !

jigger-1
thats pretty sweet and its still early maybe he will/ can break that one I bet you he holds the record for percentage of total goals scored shorthanded by a defenseman all time. He has what 3 or 4 total career goals?
fourtrax
In the second half of last season, Komisarek started to get it together. Pairing him with Markov was one of the smartest moves Gainey made as a coach. It gave Komi the stability of our number-one defenceman and let him concentrate on developing his own style of play, which is very different from Markov's style. This year is his coming-out party. "And you will know the name of the Habs ... when Komisarek lays his vengeance upon you!"
