franck5890
He's already under contract! :five: And its great to see him back on the blueline, he and Bouillon were the best pair on the ice last night.

Guest habs_fan1160
I really like this guy, he's quiet but deadly. He plays hard, shows a great love for the team, has heart and is working every shift out there. I haven't seen him do too many "Stupid" things like I have with other players. I'm glad he's locked up for a couple years, it'd be hard to find someone so well rounded as him.
franck5890
He's so willing to sacrifice himself out there its amazing to watch. One of our top defenders again tonight, he and Bouillon really click. I love the effort and heart this guy puts into every stride out there, whether its racing from board to board to keep the puck in, or racing from end to end to dive out and block a shot or a pass. Its a wonder that Detroit let him walk.
Patate
Agreed Jet, and the guy is so friggin fast, when he join the rush he's still the first back at the blue line...

I think they let him walk bc we def. overpaid for him in that multi=year deal...With that being said, the only way to get decent players who are part of winning teams is to overpay them...Look at what happens to the Patriots in the NFL...Teams overpay for their free agents every season bc they are decent players part of winning organizations
Guest habs_fan1160
I really like Dandy, he's all around consistant. There hasn't been too many times I've been disappointed in his play this season. He's really seemed to find his place with the Canadiens this year. Guest silversnake
solid effort by mathieu, his performance can be sumarized by the play where he was laying on the floor blocking the potential pass and not caring whether he gets a puck in the face or not. Plus, his interviews are always nice Him and Bouillon are stellar together.

A guy with three Stanley Cup rings that can play as a top four defenseman and a forward is overpaid at 1.7 million? With the wages being dished out for defensemen these days, I'd say Dandenault is a steal for what he brings to the team.

I have no complaints about his play, except that I wish the coaches would give him a little more responsibility because he deserves it and I'm sure he's up to the challenge. Thats exactly why Detroit let him walk. If they thought he was getting fair value they would have re-signed him.... As for now with the way the game is being played he is NOT overpaid...I was simply implying that AT THE TIME of the signing he was overpaid and said that most people on teams that win are in fact overpaid...And I analogized with the New England Patriots bc players like David Patten, David Givens, Willie McGinest, Damien Woody etc etc were all overpaid bc they were winners

Guest Hoser
where is Dandy? Hand injury, minor thing. I love how our team has so much depth at D that we can lose a very good defenseman like Dandenault and not even lose a step, fantastic to see! Ya I know everyone says trade Janne, but honestly unless we need the cap space, I see no real need now. Overpaid? sure. But he gives us lots of depth and we're always going to have injuries. We're not going to get anything more than a mid round pick for him, and in the playoffs depth can be everything.
100proofevil
Seriously, look what Janne did for us tonight without one of our top 4 D's out for the game, we have the deepest depth ive ever seen sicne 1996

Guest Cenner Hice
Can I add to the   above on the first of the season. Good to get a goal 22 games into his season. Puts him on track for a normal 5 or 6 goal season.
