Guest CanadianMike
In the video on the homepage. Did Dandy want a goal for Christmas? yep...and he got it last night The first thing that popped into my head after he scored was HIS XMAS WISH CAME TRUE
Guest JL
I really like seeing Dandenault support the offense. He scored a great goal and let's not forget the time when, while short-handed, he drew a penalty by going to the net! I love that guy!

What an Asset to this team At some point he got caught pinching, and skated back, and the guys were comin 2 on 1 didnt even realize it became a 2-2 cuz they skated with there heads down and dandy zooomed by and then the play was broken up lol Loved him in Detroit, now i lovem even more as a Hab. 1.7 mill to boot, for another 2 years after this one, great deal bob, and some people questioned it, just as they question Bouillons 1.8 mill, they both deserve every penny, while gil is making 2.5 and kubina is making 5 mill, Our guys know it, and they dont care, there habs. habs-24
how an NHL hockey player can miss a wide open net, being about 5 feet from the net is beyond me.....that goal could have turned the game and made it 4-1 but a minute later it was 6-0. I agree...Its even more tough to take bc he has played forward in his career so its not like hes never seen a wide open net during a game...TO bad he couldnt get a mulligan for that... Oh well its only one play of a long year and considering he has played well all season we can let it slide Im sure... Dandy hipe ur hyped to play ur former team and have a good game

Missing the open net was bad, but standing there frozen while the rush breaks out the other way was just horrible.
Guest bunglehab
mathieu struggled horribly in the first half of last season but found his spot with the team and did a great job after.....this season so far he looked good but then got injured and since has been playing inconsistent hopefully he get's back on track because he's got good speed and can jump up into the play and create chance's

Guest f30marco
i am happy with dandies defensive play but he still needs to be more affective in the offensive zone and use his speed more often, he is very fast but rarely uses that speed to his advantage. i would love for him to go end to end once in a while. Guest J Haul
I love the speed on the back end. I don't post much here, but that must mean hes doing something right. DAN! DAN! DAN!! WOOO YEAH MAN!

Guest JL
There's an old saying that states if you don't talk about something or someone, it's a good thing. I found this thread the very last in this section but I truly feel the need to dust it off and bring some spotlight on it a bit more. Dandenault has been one of our best defensemen since Christmas. I love how he skates up and down the ice, hits everything in sight even if he's not huge, and he's usually making great decisions with the puck. In my humble opinion, Mathieu is our unsung hero on this team. :thumb:
tommyv
He's improved even more than last year, and reliability-wise, he is this years version of Boullion from last season, he looks good in any situation, and i find Dandy and Markov to be even better than Komi and Markov as a pair. Guest JL
I was helping a friend move today and I only caught the end of the third period and the OT (lucky me). I couldn't help but noticing Crosby coming down the right side, fake towards the boards and tried to cut back to the middle and a defenseman played him perfectly, playing the body all along... that defenseman was none other than Dandenault. Unsung hero I tell you! :five:
franck5890
No doubt. He brings so much more to the defensive corps than what we easily notice. I've constantly maintained that he's been one of our top three defenders all season (as far as consistency/importance goes). I'm extremely glad we have him locked up for next year; our back end would not be nearly as speedy (and you always need a little speed back there ) without him. Guest Captain Koivu#11
I have a question about Dandenault. I saw the Rocket recently and noticed in the credits that Dandenault was in the movie. I didn't notice him in the movie though. When did he appear or who was he in the movie? Can somebody PM the answer? Thanks in advance.

I noticed it too when I watched it recently, and there were a few other players in the credits as well (Lecavalier, etc). I don't think they were credited for an acting role though, but I could be wrong. Interesting fact here for everyone: Matthieu Dandenault has the second fewest points by a defenseman on this team, but has the highest plus-minus! Goes to show just how strong he is out there. tommyv
He had a 2 month adjusment period last year, but since then, he has been nothing but solid right through, what an investment, at under 2 million per year for reliability like that was a great move by Gainey. gosouray44
Last night was the FIRST time that I thought Dandy didn't play the greatest...he didn't seem to have the energy, speed or enthusiasm...am I the only one that noticed this?? Usually I am very impressed with him and have not uttered one negative post!
