Guest habs4life!
Beautiful pass by Latendresse to Plekanac open in front to oooooh miss the open side. Kovalev to Plekenac, Lats to Plekanac...Doesn't matter who sets him up 'cause he's bringing back my old nightmare's of Zednik all over again. --looks like Gretzky one night, couldn't hit the broadside of a barn door for the next 20. To think our old bud Zednik still has the highest goal total for our team in the last 6-7 seasons with 31!!! This guy cant even score 10

That description reminds me more of Bulis than Zednik. But agreed, he's not finding the net enough. Getting his chances but no finish.

On the otherhand this could be said for the whole line right now. The longer the drought goes the worse it will get. All of them are plaing nervous hockey right now. The pucks aren't going in. They are crumpling under the preasure right now. Pleks is still young and it seems it's going to hurt his confidence the most due him feeling inadequate. Unfortunatly he is the only center who has offensive upside next to Koivu and Bonk. Unfortunatly Bonk can't be moved to another line and there is only one Koivu. That leaves someone out. crognalsen
what's his offensive upside again? I don't know, but he seemed to pick up goals and assists a lot more last season. Perhaps it was mostly on the PK, but like I said there aren't many options at center.

crognalsen
9 goals! i wonder how many other teams in the league would have a 2nd line centre with 9 goals. Lol the point being he is very young and he did some good things in the playoffs including a nice goal involving him and Kovy combining together. Perhaps to much is being expected of him with some of the nice breakaway goals he scored last season.

Codegate
It's just the beginning of the season who knows maybe he will start scoring like crazy or something and hes still young too so he is going to make mistakes.
fourtrax
9 goals! i wonder how many other teams in the league would have a 2nd line centre with 9 goals. They'd be perfectly happy if he had 40 assists to go along with those 9 goals. At this point in time, Pleks is not a second-line centre. I love his work ethic, but he does much better away from the spotlight. When he's in a pressure situation, he forces the play too much.
Guest raydourque
pleks has gotta practice hitting the net at home in his garage like the rest of us when we were younger. set up a garbage can in front of the net and shoot at the net. Guest Dham
pleks has gotta practice hitting the net at home in his garage like the rest of us when we were younger. set up a garbage can in front of the net and shoot at the net. isn't plekanac taking the gotta shoot more instead of passing a little too far at times? last night he had sammy tailing him in, stick up, ready for the slapper, but opted to miss himself. i imagine sammy would have put it thru the mesh to get himself outta the doghouse. and what's with pleks leaviong his own zone and having kovy all by his lonesome and instead opting to try a pass through 2-3 opposition players hoping sammy might be able to turn on the jets even more to reach it 5 feet in front of him? guess we needed a television time-out. oh well, should be happy with the win i guess. but wouldn't it be nice if les boys clicked for a game and potted 8 like Tampa last night? Guest mrcarsonj
No doubt he's lacking in the confidence lately but I think he is due for some bounces and soon. I would be worried if he wasn't getting any chances or producing chances for his linemates but he is. No one on the line is scoring so I dont think he is completely to blame. His shooting percentage is actually just behind Perez and Samsonov at 7.1%

Guest Miltie01
Unluckiest hockey player ever !!!!! I love this guy, but maybe not quite ready to center Kovy and Sammy. He will be a reallly good center in a couple years. He has 3 of the best teaching him.

grant_01
Until then... I'm afraid he's going to be back on the 4th line. Why afraid ? In our current team this is the best position for him to play his best hockey. To make a great 4th line sounds great to me
