Guest Anetéchrist
well whos spot can he beat out If he wants, he can take on any other habs players. If he don't, well he'll end up on 4th line... that's sad. It is.

Guest maffu
Pleks should get 50 points easy this season if he keeps the same pace as the second half of last season. Even if its not the same pace and a bit slower, he should still get 50 points, which is worth 2nd line center duties. The HABS just put up an article about him. very positive article. http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect...newsItemID=6044
Guest 1970 Habs
I think if they have him play with Higgins and A. Kostitsyn he will do better than 50 pts.

ColRouleBleu
i believe he started as a left winger (not too sure) but he did play quite a few shifts on the left wing in the world championship last may

Guest 1970 Habs
No one questions that Koivu will get 70-80 pts but a lot of people want to push Plekanec to the third line after finally showing us at what he is capable of in the last half of the season. He is a young player just starting to blossum. Why trade him or move him for another centre...??? I believe this guy has earned a shot at proving he is the team's #2 centre. Have him start the season centering Kostistyn and Higgins and I believe that by mid season everyone will forgo looking for another centre. Just my humble hockey opinion. I'm baffled at people's willingness to relegate Pleks to third-line duty after he broke out for 47 points and established himself as our most consistent scoring forward in the second half of 06-07. What kind of message does it send to our young players to not reward hard work, team spirit, AND results on the ice? "Sorry, kid, you put up great second-line numbers last year, but we're bringing in someone else to take that spot, so it's back to the third line for you." What incentive does anyone have to work and produce if we don't reward them for their efforts? I think Plekanec, at the very least, has earned the right to start the year as our second-line centre. If he struggles or tanks, ok, then we can start exploring other options. But you have to give him a chance to succeed before you decide if he can do the job. Guest Renko
Tomas' performance at the Worlds is what's gotten me excited about him for this coming year. I think we will have more success this year then people expect and I think Tomas will be a very large part of that.
Guest Kovy-27
I wanted Plekanec to keep #35...oh well. Can't wait the season to start,I want to know who's going to have more points,Higgins or Plekanec.Alot of people see Higgins as the future of the Montreal Canadiens but I see Plekanec being just as good as Higgins, maybe better. The only way that Plek could possibly be delegated to third line duties would be if we were to acquire a center challenges Koivu for first line duties. ie: If we were to somehow get Marleau and keep plek, i could see him playing center third line w/ smoke on the 4th. No other set of events could make me want Plek demoted after his break outseason. If he were to be backing up a dynamic center tandem of Koivu/Marleau however he could break out for even more that we ever expected. The Koivu/Marleau tandem would draw teams top defense lines out leaving 4th liners to try and keep up with plek.

Guest Hab
i dont like the number change bad for the fans, who have boughten his jersey.. Or something along those lines.. Come on whats the difference He hated #35 because he thought it was a goalie number(which it sorta is). He's worn #14 internationally and(i think) with the Bulldogs. However, when he came up for his rookie season, Bonk took 14 because of seniority so they gave him another number(35) that he didn't like.
