Kindred
Perezhogin highlight from Wednesdays game: Perez rushing for the puck, A flyer player coming in on his left side racing him, just as they get near the puck Perezhogin gives him a shove with his body to push him away and take the puck. Personally, I thought the other guy was going to level Perezhogin but he fought him all the way. I like seeing Perez fighting for the puck and honeslty think being on the 3rd line with Johnson and Bonk is a good expereince for him.
Eddy-van-Heaven
He certainly doesn't look out of place with Johnson and Bonk out there. He's made some great defensive plays out there which is really impressive and I like the way he controls the puck down low... his style is not without reminding me of a mini-Kovalev. That must be the influence his mentor has on him! I think he is plying even better than Kovy right now. Good to see the playoffs Perez!
Guest habsFREAK27
I also think he is playing very well, very physical, that's what I love of him these days compared to last year!
scotrbrtsn
He looks at ease out there, it's awesome to see our boys really become men, no doubt he'll be a great NHL player one day.

BriRob_mtl
I was pretty happy about perezhogin on wednesday for sure, one of the highlight guys for me. He played hard. I was impressed.
Guest natey2k4
He's impressed me a lot lately. Strong on the forecheck, and lot better with the puck, aggressive in one-on-one battles along the boards, great speed. It looks like he's actually having fun again, back like when he played with Koivu and Kovalev for the first time. I hope he can keep it up, because he's a definite threat on that third line. Yeah, he is having fun again. And the best part is, he's developed more in three games than he did all of last year playing with Kovalev and the rest of the boys. We need to keep Bonk and Johnson, those to players are amazing. They've taken Perezhogin under their wing and he's starting play like them (with amazing offensive upside). Perezhogin is going to be a great player in a few years. I hated Perezhogin last year because he reminded me so much of Mike Riberio and Alex Kovalev mixed together. Lazy, didn't seem to care, tried to be too fancy. Whereas this year, he's turned into the kinda player I love. Hardworking, never give up, forechecking, backchecking, taking the body anywhere on the ice, yet still being able to provide offensive scoring chances. Perezhogin is a better player this year and not because of his development last year, he's a better player because he has too amazing veterns on his line and he's learning from them, and they're two veterns that you'd want ever player to learn after. fourtrax
If Perezhogin keeps playing like this, pucks are going to start going in eventually. The line looks great and they'll benefit from favourable matchups because of the focus opposing teams will place on the Koivu and Kovalev lines. We already know that Perezhogin has the talent -- now it's a question of developing his smarts, work ethic, and consistency, and this third line is a great place for him to blossom. Guest cup crazy88
Everyone is so surprised with his physical play, but we saw it last year too, i mean he did end keith primeau's career... but yeah, definatly one of the bright spots in the lineup this yr, keep it up! Guest Mous_Man
This guy was following Forsberg like his shadow. I like what I am seeing so far
stever450
He was on the second PP against philly, I guess thats his reward for playing hard. I don't know if any noticed but in the second Perezhogan nailed Hatcher on the boards and bounced right off him. I love the fact that he will try to hit the biggest guy on the ice or anybody else for that matter.
Guest hatethoseleafs
Not a great pre season but the kid has answered the bell in games that count. He's playing with some zip out there and is certainly a standout in the early going. As much as I disagreed with you a few minutes ago in another thread, I can't agree with you more on this one. Your point about being like Ribeiro/Kovalev is a good one. One that is tough for me to admit, but it's good. In comparison, he's playing more like a guy with a heart of Saku than a guy with a heart of Ribeiro or Kovalev. And that says a lot. As much as I wanted to see Bonk team up with Latendresse, management made a great decision in throwing Perezhogin in there. Hopefully he keeps up the good work, in time, his speed will give Bonk a lot more confidence (maybe like when he played with Havlat )
Guest Miltie01
You can see Perry pushing hard and working out there. He will get there. After a poor showing in camp he understands, now his talent will benefit from his hard work.
Hackett
This guy is playing great - putting him on with Bonk and Johnson was a great move. I work most nights and listen to the games on CJAD - the one thing that the announcers say over and over again is that Perezhogin's stats this season are 4 posts and 1 assist. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO MORE POSTS - lets get the puck in the net!!!!

roy_133
I wouldn't be surprised to see Carbo shake up the lines a bit, and see Kovalev Pleks Perezhogin together.
100proofevil
What a game this kid had last night man in the third period the lines were Kovalev - Plekanec - Perezhogin Johnson - Bonk - Samsonov in 2 years Perezhogin or Latendresse will be replacing samsonov there
Guest sportsfreak_39
I'm very interested if he'll be given a shot at the 2nd line, he's deserve it to this point in the season and samsonov certainly hasn't.
Dutch
The best deserve to play on the top lines, and for now, imo Perez is one of them.
Guest leafsreallysuck
You could see the potential last season but it now looks like he's putting it together. Good for him. I'm anxious to see the lines tomorrow at practice.
tommyv
i cant see why he shouldnt get the chance, he's proven to be physical, tenacious in the corners, and keeps putting the moves on the defence and has also been letting loose some vicious wristers, he looked ready last year, he looks even more ready this year, and to suggest they wanted to send him back to hamilton after training camp, what a mistake that would have been. habs-24
like to see perezhogin get another shot with kovalev, ever since lastyear when they had a short stint together. samsonov and kovalev have to be split up....enough of this
nuckfan123
Kovalev and Perezhogin have good chemistery together. And during the playoffs we saw that Plekanec and Perezhogin played really well together as well. So putting him on the second line wouldn't hurt the team at all. Carbo needs to send a message to Samsonov.
franck5890
This kid has been one of our most tenacious and energetic players all season; he's created a few great turnovers that led to goals this year, he's skating hard, back-checking, and digging in the corners. He's come close to finishing a few times. I hope he starts getting a little more ice-time in reward for his work.
