Useless plug. The guy could hardly stay on his skates while dumping the puck..he was painful to watch.

He gave 100 per cent of what he had. Even if it wasn't much, it was more than can be said of a few too many guys on this team !!!!

I wish him the best, and am very happy for him .

Effort is great, even better when it results in something positive on the ice. He seemed like a nice guy and I wouldn't wish failure on anyone...but he was useless.

Even worse is seeing oodles and oodles of talent.......result in nothing positive on the ice !!!!

haha that's kind of depresing actually. I can just picture a topic a couple years ago "which Hab will be first with a cup ring?" :P

he held the cup i saw it on tv so he was waived maybe durring the year but finished the year with a stanley cup ring, nice real nice
Downey was placed on waivers, but he wasn't 'released'/bought out in October...

he only played for Detroit this year so I think he was placed on waivers -- and cleared without being claimed -- so he could be sent down during the season... he played enough games with Detroit to get his name engraved on the Cup even though he didn't play in the playoffs...
