Guest FunkyOne
Well Regis, on paper Montreal and Dallas seem quite equal, but Montreal doesn't have IT yet. Where IT constitutes a willingness to play hard, gritty, no stops hockey. Oh wait we have Kovalev AND Samsonov, with them two of course we we'll get IT eventually. tmash
we all knew Ribs could get points and is a very skilled player. Regardless, I'm glad he's gone. His offensive potential just isn't worth the trouble.

Guest FunkyOne
Its not just the fact that Ribs is good, its the fact that he's better than Ninnimaa (who is really stinking it up, even tonights game against colorado) and pleks. Sad but what can I do?
Guest Habanero
Great to see Ribs doing well in Dallas... and even better to not see him playing for the Habs tonite!!!

Sad but what can I do? I think it speaks about Ribero's reputation when all Gainey could get for him was an overpaid, 5th or 6th dman whos a UFA at the end of the season. And I wouldn't say Ribs is better than Plekanek's. Yes, he has better vision and creativity, and will probably get more points, but Plekanek is FAR better defensively, a stronger skater, and less immature (wouldn't be found rolling around on the ice or "syking" out an opposing player). Sad but what can I do? Now if you want to talk about Ribeiro, do just that but don't use this thread to put down the players on our team... the rules are clear on that! ;-)
