Guest StratfordStreak
ahhhhhh so amazing! another game, another goal!!! he's too good for Montreal now Hardly. I think he thought he was too good for Montreal when he was here, and thats why he showed so much disinterest and floated through games.
Guest mateus
I think it speaks about Ribero's reputation when all Gainey could get for him was an overpaid, 5th or 6th dman whos a UFA at the end of the season. And I wouldn't say Ribs is better than Plekanek's. Yes, he has better vision and creativity, and will probably get more points, but Plekanek is FAR better defensively, a stronger skater, and less immature (wouldn't be found rolling around on the ice or "syking" out an opposing player). when the team is needing a bonifide playmaker ask dallas if they want ninimaa back:wink: -Matt

roy_133
when the team is needing a bonifide playmakerask dallas if they want ninimaa back:wink: -Matt Koivu, Samsonov, Kovalev are all better play makers then Ribeiro. I don't think we're missing play makers, maybe a big strong center who can score.

I don't think we're missing play makers, maybe a big strong center who can score. I would say that a big center (who can score and create plays) would definatly be one of the last pieces of the puzzle we need and the sooner we get one the closer we will be to Lord Stanley's cup! Personally I still would love to see either Richards or Lecavalier from Tampa with the Habs, the only thing is I dont see what we could trade in exchange for one of them. Guest Brando
when the team is needing a bonifide playmakerask dallas if they want ninimaa back:wink: -Matt The second part of that question is - would we want to give up Niniimaa to get Ribs back - (Personally - the answer would be NO!) I think this trade could legitimately end up being a win-win with both Dallas and the Habs getting what they most needed out of the trade - nothing wrong with that..... Guest mateus
everytime Ribs will score pts .. someone will say it? season will be long! for you, its going to be sweet for me! and that make an added 2 points for ribs(a second assisst in the third;) ) so were at 9 points boys. the number is still 80! RI-BEI-RO!!! @niniima comments: enjoy the turnovers then:lol: @pts standings: considering he's playing on dallas' 3rd or 4th line...well...hes getting more points than most of the players from that said line and hes even rivaling the players on our frist line. think about that will you oh and he would be ranked 6th on this team;) -Matt

Lindros' career pts per game iis 1.17 Although people don't like him he is a very good hockey player Ribiero's winger last yr has a PPG is 0.81 Big difference

The players he is playing with ( he deserves to be playing with them). did I just type that? scary.

Guest CanadianMike
Matt I wonder why I think about you everytime I see Ribs. I have a big card he gave out when he was signing autographs last season at walmart...do you have it? He was pretty cool when my daughter took a pic with him at training camp this year, so that goes in the PLUS column for little Ribs

Ribs is taking advantage of playing on a PP that is clicking. Plus you mentioned that his 8 pts would be 7th on our team right now. Dallas does not have the shifty speed-type players that we do. He fills a niche there, whereas here he was just another undersized shooter. I dont regret the trade. I like Ribs and wish him success, but dont assume his success elsewhere would have translated to success here.

Guest Habanero
Hahahahaha Is all I can say about Ribs... I watched the game I think it was on Friday and he did absolutely nothing... Lindros and Morrow ( I thinks it's Morrow) work there butts off and totally control the play down low and Ribs just floats and floats and skates circles waiting for loose pucks... If you planted a pylon in front of the net Lindros would bank it in off that, and I don't even like lindros.
