Guest kovy#27
Bob really need to make it a priority to resign Markov this season. He is too valuable to this team to let him leave. we better, look what happened when he was injured last season...yikes
LesBoys
Im hoping he stays healthly for the full season, I remember the slump we went into when he wasnt on the ice last year. Atleast now we will have some more quality d incase someone gets injured
Guest JL
Slow start to the season for Andrei... He's made more mistakes in the first two games that I've seen him make in the entire playoffs last year. Let's hope he gets back to where he was, we need him... bad! tommyv
i agree, he was the worst one on the ice tonight, Rivet had a tough game aswell, he couldnt clear the puck on the PK at all tonight. Our PP was working or not based on his performance, if he had a good PP shift, the whole thing was clicking, when he was out there firing passes at the refs and stumbling over his own stick, we looked like fools out there. Guest CanadianMike
What's the matter with him? Any thoughts? no idea, but hope he gets back to him GOOD ways soon. Actually the more I think of it....he ended last season not as good as the Markov we are all used to....Hope he can turn things around...(only 2 games) but we need MARKOV badly to have a good season for the Habs to make the playoffs. Guest cup crazy88
He didnt play great but he did havea few chances himself, hitting the crossbar right near the start of the game, assisted on souray's goal.. still a lil sloppy but there were many out there, he will be fine... Eddy-van-Heaven
If Markov doesn't wake up, we will be in trouble as he is our only top-tier defensemen.
Guest The_Hockey_Specialist
I agree with the last few posts. Markov doesn't seem to be playing like himself these first two games and I'm hoping for is that its just rust and once he works out the few kinks from his system he'll be rolling it, Markov style. Guest kovy#27
yeah I also am dissapointed so far with his play, a lot of cough ups....hopefully he gets going, it is only 2 games in though.
Rambob
People have to realise that while Markov has a lot of talent, he has very little desire. He's not even trying out there. Markov is living proof that talent isn't enough. He's very lazy and it shows.

Guest Tony Montana
LMAo Markov lazzy clearly not. It is the way he skates does have to put alot of power in his strides cuz he sound postionaly. He knows when to use his speed and not to. Alot of D play like that and remmber sundtrom or even streit may not look liek they are trying but they are not fast skating player they position then selfs to be in right space at right time, not liek begin who skates his fastest for 15secons bangs to people and his tired so has to go bench at end of shift fast wich i have nothing against just two completly different things. As for his play the past to games i agree Markov showing signs of rust with some of his pases but something u have to kno about him he has 2 assist 2 gmz. He trys to get tht breakaway pass or tht goal scoring 1 timer pass, that is why they are intersepted but when he gets it its bang on and usaly causes an amaizing scoring chance. None of our D have that ability like he does. He can see things that our other D cant and hes not afraid to go for that chance which i like. Kindred
It may be because hes now single with a kid. So his mind might be elsewhere during games. I found this in the game thread after someone commented on Markov. If he has some family trouble then it's like Souray and Komisarek last year and would explain alot. I like Markov and it was painful to watch him last night at times. Still I think he will come aorund in a bit.

Guest zachary-jean
I hope Markov has a good game coming up against Philly so he can get out of whatever funk he's in. We definately need him to be in top form if we want to go anywhere this season.

Makal22
Is it me or is he just not on his game recently...I saw him give a bad turnover against Ottawa and i was like WTH! L!KL@LKJ34q5jq3 ..... C'mon Markov snap out of it! lol
jigger-1
Very disappointed by Markov's performance so far. He looks complacent and uninterested out there. I thought this guy would come out an be our solid #1 Dman this year and put on a show but so far he's done nothing close to that. I hope it's injury or personal related but if not, I hope he snaps out of it and starts playing like the natural talent he is. We need him to be amazing right now. Guest sportsfreak_39
Its not like he's playing horrible, he's putting in his usual workhorse minutes and he's putting up his usual Markovian stats. The desire ain't there, but hey not to knock them Russians, but they never show up 82 games, they're just so damn good the 60 somethign games they don't show up they're still decent. The difference between em is some show up for 20, 40, or 50 games and Markov shows up for 50+games.
