beckham_mtl
Ben underwent surgery on Monday, with a Montreal team surgeon. The surgery was successful, but he will be out from 1 to 2 months until it fully heals.
Guest jsol
According to WHL website (injury list), Ben Maxwell is due to return at the end of this week or next, just in time for the season wrap up and the playoffs. I hope he's got that magic scoring touch upon his return.

Guest jsol
I heard McGuire on Mitch Melnick's show (team 990 radio in Montreal) mention that the Kootenay Ice is owned by Rob and Scott Neidermayer. That's something I did not know, and I think it's cool for Ben Maxwell to have ownership of that pedigree. And he's likely to play there another year to finnish out his Juniors. Guest 1970 Habs
It is too bad this guy got injured this year. He was ripping up the WHL before the elbow injury, probably would have been near the top of the scoring charts (like S. Kostistyn) and been signed to play in Hamilton. Now he will play another year in the WHL. I think he was a real steal (at draft time) and will surprise everyone if he can stay healthy (Watch out!). Guest 1970 Habs
Solid first game tonight. He led the team in shots on net and fanned on a couple too. Though he is bound for the WHL it has been a good experience at Training Camp.

He has not signed a contract with Montreal yet. I expect because he missed most of last season in the WHL he will be going back to the Kootney Ice where he can get more ice time and play a full season. Guest Miltie01
Alot of the scouts reports I have read say this guy has the tools, just a matter of if he realizes his potential or not. Some are a bit worried about how far this injury may have set him back. If he does reach his potential, they say he will be a good one.

MMW this guy if he stays healthy will rip up the WHL. In my opinion he is an Elite Prospect (top line calibre centre). The only concern and question mark is injuries. Is he injury prone? If so how will it affect him playing to his potential.

He is only 19 and can't play in Hamilton until the end of the year when Kootenay's season is over.
