tmash
I hope he gets his shot to stay with the Habs:pray: he'll probably be a victim of the numbers game. Whether he stays here or not will really dpeend on how we're doing in terms of injuries.

Guest Captain Koivu#11
I'm excited to see him play. Sucks that some of our top guns are injured but it does give a Lapierre a chance to get some NHL expirence under his belt. Good luck Lapierre - make a good impression - score a goal Well, he didn't score a goal, but he did the next best thing. He assisted on a goal. I like what I saw from him tonight. Nice hits, wins the battles against the boards and corners (the latendress goal), and has nice speed. I am now a fan of his. Lets keep it up Max! Makal22
Too bad he can't get a permanent spot on the 4th, that would be cool, him and lats could throw around some talent

Guest habs_fan1160
Good performance by Lapierre last night, two good chances, an assist and some big hits. I like this kid - the future of the Canadiens is bright
Guest Dham
Congratulations to Maxim Lapierre for getting his 1st NHL point in what will hopefully be a long and prosperous career with the Habs. Yerp. He was a dynamo out there. He's definitely showing where he wants to be in the near future.

Guest habinto
I was very impressed by Lapierre. If he can play a few more games to show he can play consistently he may steal Murray's job. The Habs have a good problem. There is a log jam of talented players that are obviously ready for the NHL. What to do what to do?
Guest zachary-jean
an assist, +1, hits...good first impression this season
Kindred
even if hadn't of gotten an assist I was still impressed with how he played last night. Jumping in on that rush with Samsonov, taking some hits and dishing them right out he seemed to be everywhere last night.
Pom
murray needs to go down to ham...we kind of need downey for an enforcer I'd rather see Downey go down. We barely see him anyway.
hockey_gal89
Why Murray and Downey are on the team ? We keep them on the team for their grit and work ethic. But their time could be up if any of the young guns contest their spots.
Guest hogtownhabsfan
I think Lapierre should stay up in Montreal. I like Murray and Lapierre on the 4th line. They both are strong, physical, fast and always working. I agree, that Downey is the odd man out. Murray can fight if we need him, and he is a much better forechecker than Downey. I think Lapierre is a career 3rd and 4th liner, but I think he will be a very valuable part of this teams future. Hopefully he stays up with the big club. Guest Come Back Patrick
Lapierre played well last night but I doubt he'll stay in Montreal. With the return of Higgins and Begin, we just do not have room for him at the moment. Still, he might have a future in the NHL.
