HAHAHAHA! This has got to be the best game thread I have ever seen! JL what a way to end this season!

This is going to be a huge game, I have only watched maybe 6-7 games live on tv this whole season. But there is no way I am going to miss this game! This will be huge. The whole team has to step it up if we want to make it in the post season. We're in the playoffs right now boys, because like it or not this is a playoff game!

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!

Though I could post this in here also, seems more fitting....

Well it is all down to the final tilt between the two most stroied/hated franchises in all of hockey. I just thought I should put my two cents in before the gib match and since we don't yet have a game thread I thought I'd put it in here.

This is it, After last nights perfomance against the rangers I found myself wondering if we really have what it takes to get through and my answer was simple, YES WE DO and we WILL prevail. There are no more shades of gray, it is now black and white, we win we're in, we lose were out, and quite frankly the habs are going to be up for the challenge, they have proved it time and time again, battling back from all the adversity that has been thrown there way this year. Up until last night I think the team was a little nonchalant, they weren't given the option of having a do or die game and I think that threw them off a little bit. (Even though at this point every game should be played liked it's there last) However, tomorrow it is going to be a "must win, last stand" atmosphere in their dressing room and they won't let us down, most importantly they won't let themselves down because they know if they come out victorious anything is possible once the playoffs commence.

I feel very confident with these bunch of guys and I know they will not dissapoint because now the first 81 games are irrelevant, winner take all match up and I can assure you all that the Canadiens will be more prepared for this game then anyone could imagine. All the cards will be thrown down on the table tomorrow night and Montreal will skate away victorious.

Last thing, people have been critizing Kovalev for his sub-par season but when he comes up big for us tommorow against the leafs, the first eight-one games will be forgotten because I feel that he will dominate the game, like the old Alex and when that happens, he can't be stopped.

I have this feeling in my stomach right now, and it is a good one. I feel a big win coming up and it will be that much sweeter when it happens.

Good luck and GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not missing a single second of this game. I am already starting to get slack from my friends. Look what i got from my friendin Windsor on an e-mail.

"Breaking News: Montreal Canadians call it quits, too afraid to face the Leafs. Head coach Guy Carbonneau describes the Canadians dressing room as devastating, adding that several cases of tissues had to be purchased from Costco for crying team. A distressed Koivu was quoted as saying, "We just can't beat the Leafs, they are such an awesome team". Koivu, shaken and sobbing said he was retiring."

So it begins....

I think I speak for everyone here when I say that we'll never hear the end of it if we lose this game ;) which is exactly why I need the habs to win!!!! GO HABS GO! somebody is going to need to step up if we want to win. we are 1-2-0 vs. the leafs at home and they are currently on an 8 game home winning streak. the odds are against us, but we need to pove them wrong and shut up those toronto fans! i wanna hear the silence of the crowd when we score the game winner!

Lovely... Howard Berger of the FAN590 radio in Toronto just called the Habs "choke artists" and "a dog team that have no business being even close to a playoff spot". He also called them "less than mediocre".

I say these quotes get posted in the Montreal dressing room before tomorrow's game fo a little bit of motivation!

Boy... is it a call-in show? Since they are behind in the standings, someone should ask him what it makes the Leafs then?

Cristobal Huet replaced Jaroslav Halak in the third period of last nights loss making eight saves on the eight shots he faced. Huet had not played since Feb 14 and looked strong in his return. He's expected to get the start in the must-win game on Saturday against the Leafs. - Montreal Gazette

hes lucky we lost last night because they wouldnt even be talking about the leafs making into the playoffs and honestly who blows a 2 goal lead going into the third period worry about your own team

Crunch time, folks.

That "game" last night at MSG? Never happened. It doesn't matter anymore. Fuggetaboutit. It all comes down to one game.

Do the Habs want it? Do they want to come out of nowhere like in '93? Do they want to go to the golf course? Only Les Boys know for sure.

Many of us have (correctly) guessed that our regular season would end one way or another at the Air Canada Centre. Against the one team that, in beating them makes Habs fans worldwide the happiest, and that losing to makes Habs fans worldwide more upset (understatement of the year) than Bruce Banner when he gets his cell phone bill.

Who's going to show up for the Canadiens? Is it going to be the Habs who pummelled Colorado back in October? The ones who came back to beat Nashville (#1 in the league at the time)? Or are we going to get the other Habs who let 4th place slip away? The ones who got shut out 5 1/2 times (the 1-0 shootout win vs Florida included) this year?

Who's going to be in net? Some see Halak as the "return" of Dryden and Roy, while others have seen what Huet can do at this time of year and want him back yesterday. Is Raycroft going to stand on his head, like so many goalies seem to do when playing Montreal, or will he fall on his face?

So many questions, that I can't wait for them all to be answered tomorrow night. The only things left that I can think to say are...

WORK HARD!

WORK HARDER!!

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is the craziest game in years, it's like a game 7 playoff game, actually more than that, it's game 7 habs-leafs. I just wish it was in montreal.

I predict 4-2 habs, kovalev, koivu, ryder and higgins for the goals.

Go habs go
