Can believe how many people are dissing Koivu here regarding the number of goals he scores...he's playmaker first before goal scorer and he got 3 assists tonight. Buddy scored 2 goals against the Bruins and scored a critical shootout goal against the Leafs last game, the man is pretty clutch in my books.

cheers to that. Koivu is the man, he did show up tonight, got 3 pts. people, Thornton is a 20 goal scorer with many assists.

Koivu is a playmaker, and can score in clutch times...Ryder/Higgins/Koivu really kept us in tonight.

Huet did not lose it for us. But Halak could have won it for us. But, Carbo's decision to play Huet summed up our season. Reward players for nothing. And kill the life of players who perform. Anyone who really thinks Halak did not deserve to play in this game tonight must be crazy. We were dead and gone. Halak came in and gave us life.

With the exception of keeping the youth in our system this team's managment, and coaching need to be changed. We have some young talent that needs to be rewarded.

Well put Caperfriend.

What a sick game that was...... pour habs I feel for them..... well hope they enjoy golfing early ;) by the looks of it they didn't want the post season bad enough..... maybe next year!!!! see you all then... :)

I agree partially. Some sure didn't want it, and maybe they want out. Ryder and Higgins both played an amazing game. Our defensive aspect was only bad in the first, and Huet played a solid night, except for the 2nd goal. I know, you'll say he let in 6 goals, but only one he really should have had.

See you next year.

Koivu has a lot of talent, he had to adapt to partial blindness, a very hard thing to get used to.

Ryder was streaky, true, but he did put up 30 goals this season and is one of our top players...i still say he's a good player who'll get better.

Higgins was great this year...he had a slump, but so did the rest of the team. he loves the habs, you can see it in games like tonight

Plekanec- Really developed well, and will only get better. Can't wait to see him again

Kostitsyn- Found a role on this team, let him get a full year behind him and let's see what he can do

Get rid of Kovalev and Samsonov...can't they be sent to the minors? so that they can avoid the cap? cause honestly, Kovalev, as much as he let down throughout the season, REALLY stunk it up tonight.

I'd say Komi made some good progress too and I'd say he loves the Habs just as much as Higgy does.

But why hurt the farm team like that...

Ladies, Gentlemen, this loss hurts a lot, but this team has a lot of young talent and will be back stronger next year.

Go Habs Go.

im not saying this because we lost....but halak deserved this game. he brought us this far....we were dead a few weeks ago.

Gotta' disagree, guys. I watched Halak while at the game at MSG vs NYR, and believe he would not have withstood the barrage that Huet did in tonight's 1st period. Tonight's game would have been over in the 1st if not for Huet.

It may be nice next year to have a Huet / Halak backstop.

GO HABS GO !!!

Actually, now that I think about it, wasn't Ryder's hat trick the only one the Habs had all season?

Certainly says something about our offence...

Definitely, I didn't think of the D men at all in that post. Markov and Komi are two great D-men, and i can't forget Striet...absolutely awesome this year.

I think the real reason we didn't make the playoffs this year is because Koivu doens't speak French.

What a horrible comment.

well now it is time to live through another dissappointment that will be the off-season. we won't get anyone to substaintially improve this team. we better hope we scout well, and that our young guys continue to improve...

Forgot Plekanec who stepped up this year

i meant the players who we would depend on going into the season did you really think plecks would step up and i am not questioning sakus talent but the fact is he is a second line center
