Glory_Days
I miss them so much...It was so much fun going to games. Remember the 8 dollar tickets? 1$ hot dogs? Everyone banging the seats to produce some kind of ''chant''? It was simply great! I remember, i use to go to 10-15 games a season, maybe that's why i really miss them...my summer nights/weekend feel much emptier now. I guess for a fan that went 1-2/season, he doesn't miss 'em, but for the real fans, it's still hard. LET'S GO EXPOS!!!
rosalie52
I'll never forget the image of Jacques Doucet, a French radio analyst, crying after the last Expos game. So sad...

Just a sign that there was nobody there. I remember sitting in some far remote part of the stadium to smoke cigarettes...nobody ever bothered you. The All-star game the other night just reminded me why baseball was my favorite sport. Great baseball games are the most exciting of all sporting events. I don't follow the regular season nearly as much as I used to. But I don't miss anything of the playoffs. Red Sox coming back from down 0-3 to the Yankees and winning the series was the greatest playoff series I've ever seen in any sport. Man was that freakin' awesome ! Innis_Mor
Funny thing ... I really miss the Expos, but I've got to the point with the slow sport, that I don't miss baseball.
RocketPower
What George Gillette should do is kick of a Canadian Baseball League with THE EXPOS being the first Team -I bet a lot of provinces would follow the lead--it would be AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . SteenIsThaFuture
I'm a Jays fan currently since the two cities really didn't have any animosity baseball-wise. To the quadruple poster of Jaques Doucet, the man was just put on the ballot for the hall of fame and if he gets in it would be pretty cool. I was never into baseball until they left so I don't have the memories, I guess its good because I'm a rabid baseball fan now so it doesn't hurt as much. I can guarantee though that Montreal will have a baseball team in the next 20-30 years, so far as to say its my life goal.

I had a very rare ( never seen another one in my area ) pin stripe EXPOS baseball cap. The house was robbed -- and the thieves took that too--d#mn varmints . LET'S GO EXPOS!!! i remember some lady complaining that the banging of the seats and the chanting was too "loud" lol. she actually told some teens to stop lol. even my mom was laughing at her saying she shouldn't have come if it was too loud lol. and even when the hot dogs weren't 1$ they were probably cheapr than the bell center annnnddd thy were super good. mmm now i want one. i also remember those ice cream bowl baseball hats. those were fun. i also miss youppi in an expos uniform glad we could save him, and i do like hockey more than the baseball but youppi just looked great in the expos jersey! plus my summers are now empty

SteenIsThaFuture
I'd say we're realistically about 20-25 years away from talking about MLB in Montreal. The people who were "betrayed" by the team passed on their hate down to the next generation, it will be the generation following that truly bring the love of the sport back to the town.
