Guest GoHabsGo57
http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect...newsItemID=6037 Great news! It also says RDS.ca will stream all 82 Habs games live on RDS.ca. That means if you don't subscribe to RDS, you get to watch the games online! That is awesome news (the new deal was expected, but 6 years is reassuring) - but the streaming is the awesome part This is once again why TSN/RDS continue to provide better service than HNIC. They listen to what the fans want and provide innovative services. They realize that not everyone gets their channel and that the way the world is going, everything is shifting to the internet. And online streams are a very good way to move forward - great decision. (well this is hoping you understand it correctly, my french isn't good enough to verify)

Guest Bobineau
With the amount of commercials during a hockey game, they should pay us to watch it.
tommyv
Internet streaming will be amazing, RDS will see a MASSIVE jump in its site activity, people from all across the world will be watching the games, and not only be reading the results. AK-1
Thats awesome to hear! I wish the habs would get a perm english channell -.- ( I dont no french ) I don't know but here's a quick solution/fix: Turn off the volume from your TV or computer (wherever you're watching the game) and tune in to CJAD 800 (AM) on the radio for English play-by-play. Guest TheFly
Ugh, Im greatful that the habs are on television, but I hate rds and there francophone biased comments, and their bashing of russian players and Ryder. I think I'm gonna listen to the games on the radio this year, Im tired of hearing Lecavalier's and St.louis' name every game even when we're not playing, and I hate hearing excuses as to why it wasnt Latendresse's fault when he made a bad play. You're not a true Habs fan unless you've tried that at least once in your life (possibly with a TV instead of internet stream) only to realize they sync up horribly

Guest Habs_Fan_1
The best part is that all 82 games will be broadcast in HD, not only the home games. Thats Awesome.

It also says RDS.ca will stream all 82 Habs games live on RDS.ca. That means if you don't subscribe to RDS, you get to watch the games online! Where does it say that? I found no specific mention of all games being offered online within that article. Through this partnership, RDS becomes the exclusive French language webcaster of Canadiens and NHL games on RDS.ca in Canada and as well will have rights to distribute NHL video content on various new media platforms. This long term agreement is particularly exciting in the light of the hi-definition and new multimedia technologies that will enable RDS to further enhance the broadcast of Canadiens games through a wider spectrum of media Those parts are "close", but fall short of saying what has been implied here. AK-1
Wow, that would be even better! You just gotta be in Canada and you'll be fine. And don't rely too much on your computer if you have a very old (and slow) one.

This may be for the future or maybe they got the rights really cheap so figured "why not". It doesn't say anything about all 82 games being webcasted. You just gotta be in Canada and you'll be fine. And don't rely too much on your computer if you have a very old (and slow) one. Country shouldn't matter (the odd time a web site does use your country for allowing things, but this is rare). And an old and slow computer would be fine, as long as the internet connection is fast.
Guest habsolutfan
My french is a little rusty....so let me ask this, is RDS in HD starting this season?? If so, it's about time!!! The cbc and tsn audio/video feed owns rds. It was driving me nuts last season.
Guest Oatmeal777
I don't think you can watch TSN broadband from another country, I don't know what RDS's policy is though I suspect it may be the same.

I don't know but: "With the addition of multimedia rights and the broad range of possibilities that it generates, RDS is now in a unique position to offer Quebec’s most popular sports product to hockey fans in Canada no matter where they are and how they want to have access to it.†If it was for the whole world, I would assume that they would say 'hockey fans in the world' or something along those lines. It leaves me a bit confused though. And an old and slow computer would be fine, as long as the internet connection is fast. That's what I meant
